Spot on. Rather than address the reasons why people are leaving the company decides to take away benefits that while helping the company could also potentially help those looking to leave.
No, that benefit has not been returned.
The prior post was likely sarcasm.
Company paying for employees' continued education (even an MBA) is a sign of a healthy and confident company.
Nuff said.
Who can blame them? I know a few R&D technicians who got MBAs on the company, demanded promotions, then got slaughtered in ranking. Know thyself.
