As for Presidents, if you don't want to get a shot, don't, same as I didn't want to inject disinfectant ... so I didn't.

No one needs to rationalize an unwillingness to be a guinea pig. It's a fundamental human Right, to not be coerced into medical experimentation. The President has no power to do such a thing, and he has said so himself. So which is it, tyrant or liar?

That's an awful lot of text to say that you're not getting vaccinated. You can rationalize it as much as you like or just not get it - nobody cares, and if they mandate vaccines for RTO, you can just leave. See ... that was easy.
So one dr-g is the same as any other huh? That's the analysis? There have been plenty of failed vaccines. Read up on the attempts to make one for Stars 1. Didn't end well.
Also, school mandates are state level mandates. States decide this issue via the 10A, and even then it only applies to state facilities (why it's in schools and not everywhere). Bidet himself said he can't do it, before be unconstitutionally tried an end around to sorta announce he was gonna do it (but hasn't yet). In any event, when a dr-g has dozens and dozens of side effects, including death, and is issued under a EUA, no one needs a reason for not taking it. "I choose not to" is all the reason you need, presuming you aren't a slave.
Of course it should be required.

The "flu shot" most people get every year is a vaccine.
I had to get a tetanus shot a couple of years ago, guess what, also a vaccine.
We have some people who are using the "freedumb" BS to convince people to fight something that should be a no brainer, and that has nothing to do with Freedumb.
They want to blame the new POTUS and keep the country from recovering so they can get power again and give Charlie more tax breaks.
It's the same game plan they've been using since Mitch McConnell said his first priority was making sure 44 was a one term POTUS.
That's no way to govern a country, your first priority should be to actually govern.
I konw there are a lot of people who actually beleive the "freedumb" stuff, they're beyond help, they've been on FaceBook too long and have been d-mbed down by cable news, all cable news, but some worse than others.
If you want to "do your own research" go for it. Get a few thousand people together, make sure you understand what double-blind means, and spend a year gather data.
But that's already been done for you, and while there are people out there cherry picking from that data, or just plain making up their own, you're wasting time that we could use to get back to normal-ish.
And contrary to what you may hear, these vaccines have been in development for decades, the technology isn't new, they've been working on this for a long time because they know we'll need it.
The antimask antivaxxers aggresive ignorance is not a good sign for the next virus, and we know from history there will be another, and another, and one of them is going to make this pandemic look like a walk in the park.
One last thought. Science is mostly math, counting things, measuring things, timing things, so when you say you don't trust science, you're literally saying you don't believe 2 plus 2 equals 4.
Since this is "anonymous", I'll spill my guts here. I am not vaccinated or boostered, but have had the COVID antibodies in my blood stream since January 2021. My titer levels are now slightly below 1.0, so the "science" says I am no longer immune. But this is the same science that says "of course, the magic vaccine works." I have no intention of getting the vaccine at this point.
If the vaccine is required by WF, I see three primary options for me and a multitude of variations of those options.
- Cave to their demands and get the magic vax. Ugh.
- Quit. Ugh.
- Make them fire me. This would be after working to stall as long as I could. This path could include a medical exception, a medical exemption, a medical leave of absence, whatever. Ugh.
They are in the midst of creating two classes of employees and I can imagine the outside attorneys having a field-day with this.
This is not what any of us signed up for.

It could also indicate that there's significant societal differences in behavior, environment, etc that account for spread difference, regardless of vaccine rate.

Sure, there's newer strains which make a mandate completely pointless. "Highly effective" is completely out the window, clearly. May have sorta worked on alpha, but that was last year's issue.
The President of the United States himself said it, July 21st 2021. There's also a video of either the head of NIH or some other acronym agency claiming the same thing. I'd have to search the www, but it happened. There's both video and transcripts.

@fki+1dy19hye you do realize that there are different strains of covid and you are blatantly ignoring that almost all of the cases of people with covid in hospitals either have the newer strain or they haven't been vaccinated. Also, you are ignoring the fact that 6% of the 80% of the people who don't die of covid have strokes and of that 80% there are many other life threatening long term impacts. Back to your pretend science, there are enough studies to prove that this isnt a correlation vs causation debate.
Repeat after me: THE VACCINE WAS NEVER ALLEGED TO PREVENT COVID. Anyone who says otherwise wasn't paying attention or is intellectually dishonest.

Waterford. You are aware that it doesn't really matter if a highly vaxxed county has low infection rates, right? The fact that there is an essentially 100% vaccinated county with much higher than norm infections and very high hospitalization means that the dr-g doesn't work, period. Your sample county being low (with a lower vaccination rate) could simply be a coincidence...but it can't be a coincidence when everyone is vaccinated and the number of people in the hospital with COVID is through the roof. It either prevents infection...errr...spread...errrr...serious disease, or it doesn't and we have real world proof that it doesn't. Meanwhile, people who hate data/science/truth will downvote.
You are aware that there are more vaccines in this world than just the flu, right? Yeah, well, read up on them. Several prevent disease / spread, not just some symptoms...sometimes.

@xkh+1dy19hye post the county. I will post the county in california that has the highest vaccination percentage and one of the lowest infection rates. The only reason it isn't the lowest is because the prison that is located there.
Nice generalization. There are vaccines where effectiveness actually means you won't get / spread the disease.

Pretty simple. Mandate, provide/document exemptions for all employees with deeply held beliefs on the issue, have everyone sign waivers that there's risk either way, and go back to work. Presto. You've got a mandate, and everyone is happy. You will still have to deal with the lawsuits in states that don't allow mandates, but there's going to be lawsuits either way.
