If you are a horrible worker you will do this no matter where you are. Maybe you are the entitled smoke worker who takes 100 smoke breaks a day
or the person who talks to their coworkers all day. There are plenty of ways to prove production so stop being a hater and be thankful for what you have

I would gladly return to MY LOCAL office where I was hired to work 5 days a week if it meant keeping my job. Alas, that’s not good enough, I was given two weeks to decide if I wanted to uproot my family and move to a state I’ve never even visited, on my own dime, without any guarantee I wouldn’t just get laid off in 2 months anyway.
If the whole premise was to bring folks back to the office to "collaborate" and meet up then do not expect employees to be sitting at their desk and typing so you can and report on key strokes for 8 hours. Were we not told we are in the office so we can collaborate with co-workers and communicating with one another? Isn't that what you wanted?

Actually, based on a study by the University of Pittsburgh there is no improvement in metrics by forcing people to return to working in the office.

If you can't/won't comply with RTO, resign and go get one of those jobs that"Pay more than T/have great mgmt/and let you WFH 40 hours a week" Stop whining and start packing

No scrutiny, I comply with the once a month requirement and there’s no problem. As far as the “tap on the shoulder”, I’m at the stage of life where it will be welcomed when it comes.
Metrics don’t lie concerning lowet productivity. This is why RTO is being enforced.
Time to RTO and actually work.
TW is nothing to be jealous of. It doesn't fit the mold of the direction AT&T is heading. I would not want the constant scrutiny and the eventual tap on the shoulder.
It speaks volumes when the FTO lash out at those that have remained in TW status. And it's not all of them just a vocal few.
Here's the thing...I am still TW because as of today, I am still needed to perform my job function. That probably won't always be the case, but it still is as of today. I am nowhere near any office (over 100 miles) to which I could report every day. I do report to that office over 100 miles away at least once a month, where no one on my team, is, per the current guidelines I was given.
I'm sorry you have to report 3-5 times per week because of your proximity to an office building.
