Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

2 weeks and about 6 applications.

I’m about 99% sure I’m safe. But figured I’d test the waters. It took two weeks and 6-8 applications, and I have two second interviews already.

If you think you’re going to get gone, start looking now before 7000 other people are competing for the same jobs.

Troll post. Almost no one hiring. Recruiters getting laid off. It’s bad.

So you took Intel ip and secrets and applied to new role. Let’s be honest that’s what you did and you should get prosecuted for it.

Ex intel myself. Left when intel wasn’t a total scarlet letter. Its hard to be intel now and try to break into any other company. Intel has a few amazing engineers and a ton of sh-t ones and everyone in the industry knows this.

All the big high techs (Apple, NVDIA, etc..) have an Auto-reject on X-Intel applicants. You will see what I mean soon.

I hate to bear bad news, but here’s the skinny. It is unlikely that Intel competitors will hire ex-Intel people. It is the way it is in IT. For example, IBM does not hire people from Oracle or Microsoft. Dell seldom hires people from HP. So don’t be surprised if you get no offers from AMD or NVIDIA.

Interview is not the hard part. Offers are extremely limited. Good luck.

I had one interview. Thought it went well, but didn’t get it. I was told by a friend in their management chain they wouldn’t hire one from Intel. :(

Applied to a bunch more but no bites yet.
