Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Who can fix Crown?

Who do you think would be a good replacement for Jay? Is there anybody who could get us out of the mess we're in right now thanks to him?

@1ewn+1q29Iufc the example referred to the all hands on deck approach - not the product and it's competition. lots of our tools were good in their time, but they didn't play well together and didn't do anything to make the organization efficient.

The DAILY change of plans, emails and team meetings that are affecting company office locations (on and off again) and personnel is evidence enough the EMT, whether old or the new/impoved (ha, LOL), just proves they are incompetent and need to be replaced. What leadership team in another Fortune 500 company would emotionally jerk employees around like this? None! Elliott, PLEASE step in and continue your next level of changes. The Clown Castle EMT is mentally unable and unstable to guide the company. Please also have your tough investor questions ready for the next Q1 2024 meeting and do not let them off the hook. We, too, want to hear their answers.

Lee iacooca the same guy who lost 50% US auto market share to japan? Sounds like the right type for this sh-t show.

Also might want to brush up on the business school textbooks and not use examples from 1981 but that's why we're in this mess to begin with

@lbe+1q29Iufc You made me snort the bourbon I'm enjoying as I have been given a bit more time for my job hunt.

It would be someone like a Lee Iococca of telecom - someone able to build a consortium of sort with the needs of the customers, through sales, and the employees leading the tool builders to make sure that we're what building will be an efficient organization

Customers. Revenue generating customers on lots of towers saves Crown. Crown should have bought the Verizon portfolio, named Jim CEO and Ken COO. When those things didn’t happen, SP was doomed to become what it is.

We need someone who is going to come in for a couple of years with decisive action and right the ship, someone who knows the truth of what has happened over the past five years and “restore the Crown”. What we will get is someone from the outside whose head will spin in disbelief.

The bright side is that time will heal and fix us no matter who the CEO is because we will finally divest ourselves from Fiber and be a Tower company again. To all those considering a move, you should join us in Texas. We will have lots of fun new offices in Australia, Ireland, Italy, Spain, and Brazil soon enough.

Remember the Humpty Dumpty example shared below in a previous post? No ONE person can FIX this. There are only options that will be acceptable to Elliott, like increased RIF, selling off fiber and Small Cells, and reducing expenses like closing offices that will only raise Clown Castle’s stock price. Always remover that share holders dictate the decisions being made. Elliott would also suggest reducing multi-million dollar salaries and benefits for EMT/VP members that came at the expense of all employees and stock prices due to extremely high operating expenses. Ultimately, everything always comes down to the one item at the heart of the matter: Money! Stock holders demand it, EMT has filled their power loving and greedy pockets with it, and the workers that keep and have kept the business going day in and day out never get their fair share of the pie or respect. Not even Lyra can fix the long term damage done to the lives of people and their families from the last RIF and pending damage yet to be done due to office closures to Houston and years of poor EMT decisions and practices. Not to mention the lack of trust employees will have towards each other and managers moving forward in Houston and the pending reshuffling of managers and staff across all offices. Until things drastically change, nothing will change and quiet quitters will continue to impose their power day in and day out like the heartless AI environment Crown is creating. Clock in, clock out, and no more extra effort will be given! Crown’s poor business numbers and customer complaints will only increase proving this to be true as time moves forward. EMT, you reap what you sow.

Not that easy. The knowledge base is gone. One monkey will not fix the show.

The problem is that what's good for the culture is not necessarily good for the shareholders. Bob could fix the culture but someone who comes in and fired half the people would be what Elliot wants.

I think we may be beyond the recovery point. But someone more truthful with the reality of things instead of living on Planet Purple... and most certainly someone who can get out of the Purple Palace and engage with Crown workers. The morale crisis right now is horrific.
