Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

No flex

Informed yesterday my team are to return five days a week in office with no flex, senior management also are saying double vaxxed in the office will return but unvaxxed will not. (EMEA)

The 'flex' they have allowed is if we have an emergency, and tbh most jobs allow that, if you have something that requires you to be at home, what baffles me is the potential real estate cost savings this firm miss out on, and the attrition they promote by lacking the foresight to listen to the wants of their workers. Happy employees are productive employees! I'm happier in my life with just two days remote, that's all I wanted, I'll go into the office, but being forced back into bu-----t meetings, presenteeism, looking busy for the sake of it. Wooo can't wait.

What about the commute for folk outside of areas near the only office in that region?
Parking?
Overcrowded offices?
What if we go back into local lockdowns?

Why would anyone want to stay? Every perk Fiserv had was stripped away. The 2 days/week WFH was meant to make up for the fact that so many of us had to put in additional hours on weekends and evenings for BAU work. And punishing people who got vaccinated by forcing them to go into an office? Smart move

Leave it to incompetent leadership to put in place ridiculously complex JSOC policies around reporting potential exposure incidents instead of just avoiding the risk entirely and saving big bucks on real estate by selling the buildings. What a JOKE of a company.

Here's the biggest clue you need: Frank and Fiserv don't give a flying f**k about you. You exist in Fiserv to be used and abused, in exchange for some less-than-market-value pittance that you agreed to.

Once you realize that, you have two options: skate and slack off like most of the employees in FISV do when no one is looking, or go find a job that pays you what you're worth.
