What ever happened to pay telephones?
Are land lines next to go?
What does this company sell?
Too many competitors offering better service for better price.

This is the type of ignorant employee that has driven both the collective IQ and reputation of T into the ground, bravo Jethro.
Another clearly clueless comment. What do you think AT&T Uverse is now? It's called AT&T Internet and we're still selling it to customers still stuck on copper. If they're close enough to a terminal they can get up to 100Mpbs down.
Keep your mouth shut if you don't want to prove how clueless you are.
T is a wreless company and a third party provider. copper dsl is being replaced by 5G fixed wireless air or whatever they call it. as far as dial tone lucky to have 600 customers in a town of 15,000.
I just asked a question. Didn't expect hatred remarks.
“ Don't be stupid. AT&T Internet is still being sold to a buttload of customers still on copper.”.
Yepper, gotta love all that DSL growth we are seeing.

To 2nd post, @lrk. Right on target. Who has $2 in change, what does it cost to collect the coins. and how many people without a mobile phone don't have a credit card. Technology is an efficient improvement. I hope landlines last a while, I have my concessions.
I miss the pony express, singing wires, writing letters and stage coach travel too.
@yub+1qSrw9I3 Better than you!
They are putting in landlines. It’s the fiber that goes to a router.
Last time I saw a pay phone was in a airport and it didn’t accept money just cards and that was awhile ago. Believe the only places left with pay phones are prisons and those charges are crazy expensive.
Kind of like asking about how many coin collector titles are left. Old fa-t and remember the lines that would appear at those phones if a flight was delayed or canceled. In fact that was when I really noticed a change. Flight got delayed and no mad rush to get in a line.
