What I'm asking is, if I don't have an invite by the official start of the workday, does that mean that I won't be getting one or is there still a chance one can pop up throughout the day?

@lsx+1u10rReV If that's the case, then the current layoff will continue towords the Xmax and then after Q2 enraning call, they may do the next layoff, so it will be a loop lol

@qbd+1u10rReV good point but i still think the expectation that anyone and everyone impacted will be notified in the next few days isn't realistic.
They said 70-80% of the COST of the layoffs would be realized in Q1, so that includes any severance + the two months WARN time has to be paid out in Q1.
as they said on the call yesterday - 70-80% of the layoff will be completed 1st qtr 2025 - thats 3mo. also they have the remaining 20-30% to let go later in the FY.
There are still teams where final decisions are not fully made, leadership has until 8/22 to finalize. If you're on a team where there is a lot of change happening real-time, notifications will likely be spread over about 10-12 days.
Most of notice will be sent in the August.
Managers, are you allowed to tell folks if layoffs for your team are done? Or at least confirm if someone is not laid off?
If I don’t hear anything by, say, 11:00am, I’d be tempted to ping my manager and ask if they can tell me whether I’m good.
Wouldn’t this happen after the check in on Monday?
I thought I was safe in Feb 2024 round bc I hadn’t received a meeting invite by noon the day after earnings. It popped up on my calendar at 12:30pm for 3:30pm.
A small number of people will be notified tomorrow, if history is any indication of how they're running this one.
I know someone tho got the LR notification invite in the afternoon, for that same afternoon. Most are early morning invites though.

Yes I have been through multiple layoffs during my tenure and there is one I remember where layoffs happened throughout the day. Manager would step out of his meeting and tell us 3 left or 2 left etc.
I wouldn’t count yourself safe if you haven’t got one by start of business day. No one has yet confirmed if notifications will even happen today.
Does it have to happen on Thursday?
You may not get an invite but a call that's what happened to me and I wasnt on pto
