Can confirm…regardless of all of the new reqs, many of which are being released as external after years of a hiring freeze, they’ve opted to release a ton of amazing, talented people. ALL Uncle Mikey cares about now is AI and Telecom. They’re nothing more than tone-deaf a--hats patting themselves on the back in EVERY meeting and congratulating their 20+ exec years of service. Oh, and where’s my damn severance? 😡

Emails went out yesterday evening for Premier teams - meeting are happening now/today. If you are on those teams you either already know or will understand the impact when some if your peers are no longer at Dell come Monday.

too many Directors and Sr Directors in ISG. Dell needs to balance the Pyramid via WFR of these undeserving people. They keep promoting friends and family without merit while letting good engineers go. Let's start the cleanup with DataDomain Mike!

The joke is you become principal level or sr.dir just because you know the motion of day-to-day work. And by the time company realizes that you have no skills to lead, you have pocketed 2 million already.
Sadly the industry knows the names of leadership. So you wont be employable anywhere.

well no one is denying layoffs. they happen in EVERY company. every day. it's called realignments and or attrition.

problem is every week there is a beating of the drums here by the unemployable ilk who cant seem to move on from dell.

Dell thinks if they build it, channel partners will know how to sell it. LOL.
If this was a genius idea, why didnt rest of industry do it already.
I am sure we will have layoffs next September when channel partners cant sell the required number to meet AOP.

@mgc+1ovul0h3 If you mean Online Business Managers I believe they are going to be impacted but no idea to what extent- I can confirm after next week. The Premeir Account Managers will be the largest hit, their leadership FY24 goals had reduction baked into the cake.

Layoff should be done to people who have personal vendetta against team members abd use all their time/energy in destroying the other person's job.
These people have weaseled their way into TSB from EMC. Waiting for their turn to suffer in life and cry a river of blood.

It’s happening. Won’t be big but will impact several Services orgs.

I have to question if the people that say layoffs are not on the way and talk about negative ,sour grapes ex Dell actually work in Dell.
I work in a sales role and me and all my colleagues can see it is happening.
Anyone who says otherwise must be either crazy,d-mb as pig s71t or just oblivious to whats going on around them.
Listen to what management have said in the last number of all hands and town halls.
They are heading to customer self serve.Yes there will be specialist teams and we may not lose everyone but the customers are not buying enough.Simple.
If you had a shoe shop and nobody is buying shoes you dont need as many shoe salesmen.
Even better if you can get other shoe salesmen or women that work for other companies to sell your shoes you could cut nearly all your sales people and have less overheads and more profit.
Then if you get all your customers to put the money in the till themselves it means less staff at the till.
Its not really that complicated when you think about it.
More self serve = less staff.
Less staff needed = more layoffs.

dell laying off all other teams except the ones that were directly involved in decision making and failed to provide results. I guess the executives are immune to layoffs.

I can confirm as well. Managers have known since July that their teams would be impacted in September. The Premier teams will be greatly impacted. Automation and sales self serve is the future, sales will be able to get what they need on their own real soon. Restructure is coming - it will be interesting to see the outcome. Good luck to all the impacted.
