I watched it and it didn't help. Its difficult to take vacation to recharge when management doesn't want to let you take any vacation with all the work going on.

Never again will I attend something by RM. I gave her a chance the first time. The second time was the same D&I BS. Her bottom line, if you are white, or worse yet, older and white, look for a new job. You are no longer welcomed.

Did she start with a quote about how she earns awards for how happy everyone at Chevron is?

"I. AM. A. ROBOT. DIVERSITY. REPEAT WHATEVER LJ SAYS. DIVERSITY. THESE ARE HARD TIMES. MINDFULNESS APP CAN HELP YOU. REPEAT ANSWER. WHAT IS NEXT SCRIPTED QUESTION? SELECTION PROCESS FAIR. THAT DID NOT COMPUTE. THAT DID NOT COMPUTE.
ROBOT VOICE FADING. THANK YOU. EAP IS AVAILABLE. WILL RETURN TO MY OFFICE NOW. GOOD BYE"

@mlu I disagree with you about R2 HR selections. There was really just 1 selection of a “problem child” (AM). But there is another leader who is also a tyrant (SB) but I heard they closed her job. Just as bad imho because she is downright abusive and cruel.
But if you want to talk about R2 and R3 selections consisting of people who have no clue about the job they just got, well that is a whole other post.

GR who is the head of HR for upstream and seemed to have a good head on her shoulders submitted an EOI and is not retirement age. That should tell you something.

I give MW credit for using PollEV and letting us up-vote the REAL questions people want answered, instead of hiding behind phony planted questions on Workplace.

Not surprised to hear the RM call was a waste considering she can’t even manage her own function.

Talk to any HR person and it is quickly apparent what a dumpster fire that group is. RM has done nothing to address the low morale and cultural problems. Her answer is to keep waving the D&I flag. No one in HR trusts that that RM is handling her business as evidenced by the fact that several problem children got placed in R2 despite a multitude of complaints about them. But hey, I guess they get results and who cares if people working for them are fearful and miserable.

So yes, an enterprise wide live stream from the Head of HR was useless. Big surprise.

Too scared to use anything other than workplace for questions. People asking about development and what cultural aspects differentiate chevron from our competitors. Uhhhh. Well. I’m pretty sure other companies don’t emphasize The value of color of skin before talent. Screw this place.
