Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Who's next?

It was Senior Directors this week, any idea who is next on the list? I'm going to assume they'll work their way down...

Complete agree with the comments about Sr Directors in Global Tech. Most of them are deadweight. They do not understand the technology services that their teams provide and therefore unable to represent, manage or support these teams. I have heard of frustrated Directors who extremely stressed and about ready to quit because they work for Sr Directors who don’t get even the fundamentals.

(Insert random "I have a friend in HR who says that..." comment here.)

Nobody really knows anything - it is all guesswork at the moment other than vague calls and statements by leadership.

@ygd, totally agree with your assessment. Technology Sr. Directors (cannot say that without laughing as they do not know anything about tech) are the most useless bunch of them all.

Maybe try reading some of the other posts, seems like this is a continually repeated question.

Directors are next, probably in a few weeks.

Disappointed to hear about Global Tech, they have the most Sr. Director dead weight s—ing up resources and creating toxic zones. I swear those people probably have the most instances of running into glass doors.

I guess on a positive note, they eliminated some toxic VP's during the first round.

@muw, thanks for sharing. The reasons seem "logical." 1. Holiday prep. 2. New VPs who do not really know the Sr. Directors and Directors well although the same can be said about other functions and that did not stop the ball from rolling. Bottom-line: none of this makes sense anymore (I do not know if did before either).

Have you seen the stock price over the last month? Money machine going brrrrrrrr on Wall St. Don't expect this train to stop any time soon. These ghouls are going to raid the sh** out of Nike and leave the carcass to rot.

I am hearing that Global Tech is delaying layoffs until after the holidays to January. Anyone hearing similar ramblings?

And I highly doubt they'll stop before a few more rounds.
