Clinton NALI meeting

Thoughts on this morning's NALI update meeting in Clinton?

I'll start: I love how they still have no plans yet for hiring/training lab staff, yet they're going to start moving some equipment as early as 4Q2025.

LOL, MPT's break down and set up the equipment?? That's funny. With a few exceptions, most don't even know where the E-stop (or equivalent) is.
Also, if you were on campus in Clinton and witnessed the process, they are utilizing a couple different moving companies as well as instrument vendors (when applicable) to pack and move. FLS's are currently going around making Job Pack checklists so that any one could decommission and recommission.

They won't be using techs or MPT's for anything once each job pack shuts down regular use of groups of equipment.

Clinton doors close Dec 2027. Some capabilities will start moving Q1 2026, and will ramping down mid 2027. The project is on a time commitment 1st, everything else is secondary.

North American Lab Integration. We’re closing down and relocating labs in Clinton, Sarnia, and Calgary to Campus in Spring.

They’re going to have MPT folks on TDAs from EMTEC to close down the existing equipment in the current location, make sure it gets packed up right, then go to campus, take it out of the crate and restart it. They don’t need Clinton people for it.

They are supposed to be hiring techs to replace the Clinton's. The bad thing is the new hires will have no idea of the work or experience. I have volunteered to help out but was refused. I guess i am not the right type. I must not be a hipo or well liked by the management. Oh well I can just keep doing the same mediocre work until retirement. Good luck with nali.

I've talked with some of the lab techs at Clinton. They could be phased out very easily. Only reason they survived this long is Union
