Did you know that less jobs were added last month than expected? Do you realize HOW MANY TIMES that report gets revised DOWNWARD?

2/18 is going to be HUGE. And as far as the warn notices go, ha. If you do "some" here and "some" there, what warn notice is needed?

I work for a permenant contractor under BOA and all last week my boss was very weird and anxious. Friday I was told that somebody from corporate in my company is coming somebody very high up so I don't know. I did see a resume on my boss's computer when I was in his office so I have not a clue. Seems like it'd be legit though.

I sit next to a SVP and I overheard him saying that he’s letting go of 6 contractors soon.

@np+1jjzt56e7 "looming retirees who don’t give a f’ about quality"

Can we have an elaborate explanation to the above comment? I would like to know what your thoughts are considering that I am over 60. What am I missing? Please share. Your argument goes both ways.

Be advise that Medical Insurance is NOT CHEAP so employment is necessary until at least 65 when eligible for Medicare.

Let us hope it’s all those between the ages of 30-60, leaving the looming retirees who don’t give a f’ about quality, and those who are young, cheap, and inexperienced to know any better! That way I can short the $hit out of the stock for when the cr-p hits the balance sheet, and its 2008 v2.0 for BoA.

Just because they are handing out RSUs soon doesn’t mean people are actually going to be here to even get the first 25% of it. I believe they will layoff after bonus is paid out. RSUs have no effect on their decision.

Bonus are paid on the 15th. It makes sense to lay off after that. They will have different letter for RSU for those that are on the list.

Good luck everyone

I heard employees making bets on the Super Bowl. Should I report to HR?

I'm sure I'm on the chopping block. I'm just not disengaged anymore with work. Too many dam* emails, daily & impromptu meetings, production issues, putting our fires, escalations, working OT and on weekends.
Just can't compete anymore.

"Can we have credible information starting first with what work site(s) are impacted? "
Hmm, is BOA transparent and honest?

Gloom and Doom... Rumors about layoffs have been going on for years when you look at the BOA posts on this site. Anxiety is ramped up having both positive and negative effects. Many BOA employees want the packages and others are afraid to lose their jobs. Can we have credible information starting first with what work site(s) are impacted? I would even settle for rumors that BM was stepping down.

considering the last lay offs included managers I highly doubt your manager slipped up and said anything.

It would make zero sense to lay people off right now when bonuses got paid out, merit increases given, and RSU will vest in a month. Let's use our heads people.

My manager slipped and said there is a list for February.

Why would they layoff people after they qualify to get bonuses? If they were going to layoff people they would have done it this past week or in January. And march would be vesting in stocks…..I don’t see them laying off people before April or likely the summer. They will probably do stuff first to see if people leave on their own so they can save on severance like full return to office and all….which likely will happen sometime this year since JP Morgan and the fed are now doing it. You know they want to do full RTO and everyone else is giving them an excuse.
