7.5% of SPS in NA Affected

I can CONFIRM that 7.5% of the SPS org was let go in this last round. This is from actual data.

@iyc+1of5CamS : so in effect your (SPS?) team is fully staffed and just some AEs got replaced with another ones .

sad for these let go while it looks org itself isn't going anywhere

They should have canned the entire Org! It's a made up segment for the people who didnt have homes when they did the first go to market. They add zero value and get paid off deals they didn't even know were in the pipleline. If Dell was serious about cutting cost, they would eliminate this entire group of misfit toys!

@1gna+1of5CamS : you just saying that you don't really work for dell actually

whatever others are selling they try to match DELL EMC products

issue is price DELL is asking - where others cut corners and would customers believe they get the same as ex-EMC products

of course competition does good job - Netapp being closest and yet - see what netapp is selling - ONTAP - for last 20 years the same thing with mediocre HW , share-nothing cluster

so whatever you say - your idea is based maybe on what someone told you in the coffee corner at local McDonalds ?

SPS is Storage Platforms and Solutions

Not surprising when those products are not competitive at all. Features and hardware are years behind competitors. Support also has a terrible reputation.

SPS here. On our team it was 25% laid off and then several replaced by DCSEs so the math will be skewed no matter how you look at it.

@bgl+1of5CamS how are you so confident that the 7.5% is the right figure and next is EMEA, I believe they are done with sales layoff for this Qtr in August. There are no more layoff's in September, we have got the quotas, and regular day to day is going as normal
