Biden vaccine mandate issued for private employers: Jan. 4 deadline for workers to get shots

The Biden administration published a rule Thursday that requires workers at large companies and institutions to get fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by Jan. 4 or face weekly testing.

Persons who refuse to get vaccinated would also have to wear masks while on the job under the long-awaited regulation from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration that applies to 84 million workers.

Employers must start providing paid time off to employees who want to get vaccinated and recover from any side effects by Dec. 5. Unvaccinated workers should also start wearing masks by that date, the rule says.

Then you're not fully vaccinated. And you do realize the company can require that you pay for the testing, each and every day. And you also realize they require to pass the test before your work time starts (its not on the clock!) and if you're late due to standing in line with the other viral farms waiting to test at the single testing spot they are required to have at each site, you can be fired for that.

So the system invented specifically for this purpose, which has been deemed effective for every other dr-g released since it was created is suddenly unreliable / nonviable? That's very convenient timing. How about the Harvard research that says that just 1% of adverse reactions are documented on VAERS? Let me guess, that's also unreliable. Amazing how that works.

@nvl+1dEoksoW You're right, there is SCOTUS precedent, as recently as last week!

"U.S. Supreme Court rejects religious challenge to Maine vaccine mandate"

So if you're not opposed to the fetal cells, what religious exemption do you have? Do you claim this for all other required vaccinations? Do you do this for all other types of medicine in general? Do you deny medical care and hope you can "pray it away"?

The federal government does not have the power to mandate vaccination. Joe said so himself. Every mandate in history was state issued, or only applied to fed workers. Believe it or not, in this area the 10A and state law > rule made by unelected hacks at OSHA.

Fully vaccinated here, but won't budge on this shot. Bring on the regular testing.

"Religious exemption doe to the fetal cells being used in development was nullified by the pope if Catholic, and would also rule out a whole host of other medicines like anti-inflammatories, diabetes treatments, cancer medicines, migraine medicines, and many more. They all use fetal cells to develop their product"

Wrong. I know this is breaking news, but Catholics are not the only ones opposed to ab-----n and there's already SCOTUS precedent confirming the validity of deeply held views that don't align perfectly with any organized church. Even if you identify as Catholic, it's not grounds for denying an exemption...and to do so preemptively without consideration is lawsuit city.

"I can even die of it despite vaccination status."

But you're like 11X less likely to, IIRC.

You can be as stupid about it as you like but basically if you get vaxxed, you have way less chance of dying or landing in hospital and frankly, nobody cares other than perhaps you if you live, or your family and friends if you don't so yeah, you're cool.

  1. You shouldn't be attending large gatherings unmasked. Especially if you aren't sure if everyone is vaxxed.
  2. Public transit should require masks. In most places, it does...and that's a good policy to follow even before COVID. Protect yourself.
  3. If you're masked and vaxxed there's less of a chance of you catching it while you're out of home and bringing it back with you. Plus you can look forward to lower symptoms and less of a chance of severe symptoms when you're vaxxed.

I want to be sure I am understanding this correctly. You're saying that I can mingle with COVID positive people, attend large gatherings where health status is unknown, pack myself into trains and other public transport where I'm in contact with god knows what, that I can catch this virus at work, bring it home and spread it around my community, that I can even die of it despite vaccination status... but as long as I have this paper card we cool? Cool.

  1. RTO is in effect. Do you have an exemption in the past 60 days? If not, your remote work was canceled when RTO was announced.
  2. Religious exemption doe to the fetal cells being used in development was nullified by the pope if Catholic, and would also rule out a whole host of other medicines like anti-inflammatories, diabetes treatments, cancer medicines, migraine medicines, and many more. They all use fetal cells to develop their product.

Are you pulling your numbers out of your a$$? Where do you find that nonsense and why are you spreading it?

Over 339 million vaccine doses were given to 187.2 million people in the US as of July 19, 2021.

Between December 2020 and July 19th, 2021, VAERS received 6,207 reports of death (0.0018% of doses) among people who got a vaccine, but this does not mean the vaccine caused these deaths. Doctors and safety monitors carefully review the details of each case to see if it might be linked to the vaccine. There are three deaths that appear to be linked to blood clots that occurred after people got the J&J vaccine. Since we now know how to correctly treat people who develop these blood clots, future deaths related to this very rare side effect can be prevented.

If you're relying on VAERS for that info, it's incorrect. Anyone could report stuff on the site and it takes time to investigate each one. I could enter that it gave me gigantic purple warts several hundred times, and right wing news would report that a new COVID symptom has popped up...when in reality it just hasn't been investigated and removed yet.

If not vaccinated, your eligibility for bonuses and 401k matches is revoked. You must pay for testing and Aetna won't pay for covid related issues. That's just the beginning. Travel is forbidden and your employee file marked for inability to be considered for advancement.

17K {if accurate) is only 2% of 750K total US COVID deaths. One of those numbers is much scarier.

Hate to say it, but if I was a company that needed to shed 50,000 employees without paying them severance, I’d be thrilled by this. The government is ultimately providing the cover. Why not use it and find cause to jettison employees that would have made RTO extremely unpleasant for everyone involved. 🤷🏻

Big time gubment overreach. There is complete ignorance or omission regarding the hundreds of thousands of adverse reactions including well over 17,000 deaths from the unapproved jab. Just a disgusting state of affairs. Hopefully this nonsense gets blocked and quickly rejected.
