Strap yourself in for this one. You thought outsourcing and offshoring your jobs was a threat? Well, now you have a new "business model". That's what the bright boys call it when they figure out a new grift. And, this one is outstanding. BPaaS: Business Process as a Service. Of course, everything in a business flows through a process. So, it's only logical to pay an external company to "run the process". Preferably in the cloud so you don't have to pay IT employees to manage servers. It's the next best thing to outsourcing and it can be done to any function. But, done in a way that allows a company to manage the whole thing as a measurable expense rather than managing those pesky employees. It's a brave new world Cisconians. Be on the lookout for BPaaS in your organization. It's a whole new way of becoming unemployed.

Corporate shills: nothing to see here, old news, been around forever, go back to sleep.
Eye roll… BPaas has been happening for years….
Certainly as far back as the early 1990s when Business Process Re-engineering was all the rage.
KPMG (or some thing like that) came and f*ked IT long back and its still rebuilding. Any process that makes Maria and her sck heads stronger is welcome at Cisco.
Eye roll… BPaas has been happening for years…. No wonder Cisco is constantly doing Lrs if this is calibre of employee…
LRaaS (Limited Restructuring as a Service) will be implemented starting in late July till August. This will take care of all LR related issues including how individuals will be notified, their package, etc. No more script reading by your manager, all will be handled by LRaaS.

Almost every service that an employee needs to know about or act on is sent via a Bot in Webex now.
Could you give a specific example?
Anyone else get an email about some talent card career profile? Have the Bobs been brought in to ask "so what would you say you do here"? Honestly, my TPS reports are fine.
It's already happening in "People Support".
