Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Warehouse Shop XBS Core Consolidation

All XBS core shop manager positions will be eliminated and shop will be moved under warehouse to manage. Warehouse teams are slimming down staff but required to take on more job duties.

To accommodate,

Shipping of supplies will be less and less from local XBS warehouse and more direct from guatemala to customer office.

Xerox shipping equipment direct to customer, bypassing cores.

New Xerox All in Plan will ship direct to customer.

I agree, but our customer care reps start at $19 per hour here in the U.S., the easiest most outsourcable job, they offshore the most difficult jobs but keep the easy ones, why??? with the technology use an app, yup the IWS is going to eliminate a lot of jobs

Guatemala call center rep $6/hr. US core call center rep $15/hr. Multiply times all cores call center reps, big savings. Call center is over valued, thing of past. Go online and place your service call or supply order. Even online will be short lived. Xerox is launching New IWS tool that will automate service calls and supply orders. They already launched Xerox Engage app for troubleshooting. Call centers are dead. If you work in one, start looking

@lnr+15gzTLTS There won't be a XBS and direct differentiator for very long. It will all be just Xerox by the years end. Multiple departments have already switched over on back end systems and they are phasing the rest of us over in the next couple of months.

@tok+15gzTLTS not lies at all actually. XBS supply departments are all gone to HCL. Even the manager is HCL, formerly XBS. Our whole team's contract ended Monday except for the manager, their contract was extended for 12 months.

Whatever Xerox decides and does their shipping of equipment and service parts
will still be the convoluted mess it has morphed into ...Thanks in large part to
laying off key personnel and outsourcing to third party suppliers. All this just adds to the accounts payable mess that has tracking and billing of financials.. Let the FUN begin.

Xerox ships equipment through Ryder and Ryder has a trained team deliver direct to customer and setup equipment. Xerox plan is to use Ryder for XBS deals as well (Ryder contract is already in place) This will in time reduce XBS warehouse receiving equipment and downsize personnel. Shop staff will be cut. Core would have the local tech(s) rotate if a machine needs repair in shop or setup, or use a hybrid driver / shop employee. This decision will be managed under were (lighter staff).

Ok folks, supplies are not in Guatemala, that is FM Audit, contracts and billing(latest for XBS NE)
Supply orders are ALL being processed in Manilla, how do I know this you ask? I had to train them, and when you have ctappy rep, they just shuffle them from core to core...

If you are still working, find a new job, Xerox will f*** you on your severance just like they are trying to do to me...Me, I am fighting them...14 years and they want to pay me 2/3 of what I am owed.

Several XBS cores already transferred their call center supply calls to HCL, it's going to continue until all the cores have completed this. If your in a core that still takes supply orders, your time will be up soon. It's in the Xerox plan and nothing your executive team can do to save it, they do not have that decision to make anymore. Call centers will follow soon after.

As far as where supplies are being shipped from, that I believe would come from Xerox main supply facilities (have no idea where they are).

It’s almost like we need a new site to differentiate between XBS talk and legacy XRX talk...

So where/which cores are the centralized warehouses to be shipped from using the new AI?

Guatemala does not stock supplies. They may take the orders from the call center but it won’t come from Guatemala. Geesus. People get informed. Just shows how much XBS ppl know about xerox business. Nada. It’s scary.

To 15gzTLTS, there's probably a couple of steps left out. "direct from guatemala to customer office" I'm assuming means that the supplies ordering and supplies management is done via customer call center(s) in Guatemala vs local cores, not the physical shipment of supplies. (I've been gone over a year from Xerox and I could figure that out.)

This is completely wrong. As someone in the position to know, I can say it’s clear people are spreading misinformation on here...supplies will not be centralized from Guatemala. As far as shop managers, I cannot say, I’m unfamiliar with that title. But their will be consolidation.
