Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Anyone going to in 14 days to meet over 60 percent?

13.8 days required this month, so you need to be in 14 days or get talked to.

I plan to just go in 12 days and let it be. It’s freaking 95 degrees where I am at and now the air quality is bad, way too dangerous to suffer in extreme heat and hazardous air just so I can sit by myself and talk to my co workers on team.

Anyone just going to say f it or are you doing 14?

@p1 last I checked, I still collected paychecks when I worked from home full time so I'm not sure what this has to do with anything.

The metric is correct you need 14 days this month. I don’t see anybody complaining about getting three paychecks for the month.

I think we are entering topic fatigue, their measurement is not off. It is 60% and is calculated correctly. It’s not just three days a week on some weeks so use AI to create a spreadsheet so it can calculate for you as it appears people really have a hard time with this. There is no management or leadership guidance on the penalty as there is not one right now, but if you are on this site and you’re whining about things under your control like calculating the correct amount of days off you might be the person they’re looking for an excuse to get rid of for not meeting the 60%. That’s what it could be used for if they get rid of you there it is

As a manager myself I'll tell you, most managers have no idea what the punishment even is. I don't care what my directs' rto numbers are, and unless the bank tells me what to do about it, why would I?

I'm doing what they require me to do, nothing more nothing less. I hate it too but one thing I learned is do all the little things my director is worried about or tracking - if I do, I won't have any problems.

If you use 6 half PTO days (either sick or vacation), that reduces the number of possible "in office days" enough that going in 10 days in July will get you above 60%. Any day with 4 or more hours of PTO recorded in WD gets removed from the denominator of the calculation.

use a sick day - you get 10 a year and if you don't use them ....at the very least, consider it a mental health day. use them for a day you do not go into the office.

@ah yea I'm not going in extra because they can't get their reporting right. I open a chat with HR and screenshot the responses for my documentation.

If they do fire people over this they can absolutely expect lawsuits because of their inaccurate reporting that's WELL documented.

@cx it's likely a matter of time for you, unfortunately.

It's fu--ing stupid, but they absolutely will fire you over this at the worst. At best use it as a reason to give you an NI on your review and not give you a bonus. We all know we won't get raises so those are a mute point.

I may not go in 14 this month but will be at 60% for the quarter. No point playing w fire when the job market is awful and they’re looking for reasons to fire people

Take two half day sick days on days you don't go to the office.

Usually go in about 8-10 times a month, haven’t got talked to or any issues.

With the vacation I'm taking this month, I calculated that I would need to go in 10 days this month to meet the goal. Not sure I'm even going to meet that.

They won’t fire you for one month at twelve days. It’s based on a three month rolling average. Even then you wouldn’t be immediately terminated for being only at 12 most months.

Sadly I've met the requirement each month PLUS an extra day or two in the event that a day is not reported accurately.

@OP 11. 1/2 days 5 days this month to drive down that #. 14 is ridiculous

Yeah, the goal is the goal even in the summer. I’ll be there 14 days.

Such a weird choice. If your not going meet the goal set why come in at all. Their obviously just looking for a reason to fire people with rto so they can hire cheaper overseas. If your going to give them the ammo to do it go all out.
