Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

When will Crown Castle change it's name?

Time to stick a fork in Crown Castle, it's done. Crown Castle was built by strong leadership who found good people and made great teams. The B3 culture and that mindset died when the CFO became CEO and catered to the Financial community instead of taking care of it's people, and it's customers.

There is no "tower" or "fiber" or "small cell" people that are responsible for the current state of CC. Towers, Fiber, and SCs are ALL the future of wireless, no one business is better than the other. this lies 100% with the leadership of a large REIT who is too conceited to listen to the most important voice in the room, the people.

As of today, the current leadership of Crown Castle has brought shame to everything they've touched. Thier customers see this too.

Now 750 plus people who are arguably the best at what they do, are now out working against Crown Castle.

To each of you severed, my heart goes out to you, but I am confident you will be back on your feet in no time. Take a few days to relax and enjoy some R&R. I'm excited to see people in better roles with more honorable businesses. Don't let Crown Castle define you, you defined Crown Castle.

Crown leadership, eject, just go away. Take your purple and go away. Change your name. Maybe you should just call yourself ATC? Oh wait, even ATC does thier people better.

Good luck to all my fellow crown employees, the many years have been good overall. Echoing many comments already stated, it’s just not the same place since Jay took control. When I first came on board, I felt like the luckiest person around. I loved the environment, the people I worked with, our customer interactions, everyone helped one another the achieve our District goals. That environment was shattered apart once Districts disassembled and centralized work teams took over. Throw Network purchase into the mix and well, here we are. Hoping Crown does pull through, goodbye to all.

Jay Brown is all for the financial market. That is obvious based on his speech to the Orlando office a few weeks ago telling everyone that Crown is strong, goes sale those small towers, and he guarantees Crown will not have any layoffs. 4 weeks later this huge layoff. Of course he said that no one was leaving when asked why out stock was crashing h and if Crown can afford to keep their employees with the downturn.

He straight lied to those 100 or so people at his big town hall meeting. How can anyone trust a CEO that makes a comment like that and then does a huge layoff when they knew there would be one. This isn't planned overnight. If it was, then all the board needs to fire some executives for they should have known this for at least 2 years with the Sprint shutdown.

I can't believe no-one jumped at the opportunity to rename Crown to "Brown Castle"

Hey @pgw+1o184IxE. I don't know why you are complaining. My "purple people leader" directed me to the FAQ section for layoffs on the connect page. Was that not sufficient enough? Totally useless! I hope you receive the information you need and soon. I'm also surprised at the staggered layoffs. Some gone Friday, Monday, today, this Friday, or a date in the future. In any event, you will likely be appreciated more in your future endeavors than you were here at Crown.

I got the axe on Monday and still haven't received any severance information. I was also immediately locked out of everything. Has anyone had this experience also? It is also sad that we must seek help from resources like this website. Incompetence...pure incompetence.

At least the circus will only have themselves to deal with. It stings today, but I think you’ll soon see getting off this wreck was a blessing.

I got the cut earlier today. Was the only one on my team, despite there being some serious clowns that I work with.

I think I survived and I don’t even feel relieved.
