Do the job you are being paid to do. Sharpen your skills. Learn as much as you can. When you leave (by your choice or theirs) you can leave with no regrets.
Do quiet quitting before the company quiet quits you
Work shall set you free
The name of the game everyone plays (or should be playing) is make the most you can with as little responsibility as possible. This is the way. just like businesses want as much work for the least amount of spend, the highest quality for the cheapest price...
Some people see a problem with this, but this is how business works and for some reason people don;t think this applies to people who work jobs. It's a common principal that should be understood. Like @pjo+1qHGT266 rightly stated. Do what you are paid to do and that's it. You go above and beyond...that's what bonuses are for.
OP- Work hard to have current market skills and to find a really good job
Working hard to keep your Ford job is not worth it. It is a waste of time
You should just quit now. There’s tons of jobs out there. It will only take you a day or two to find an even better job.
Just as other poster said. Do what you should do. Just do not work your a-s off. Always have a backup plan.
Do the job that you’re being paid to do. Prepare for a new job on your own time.
