@1fs+1jtghsq36 over 2 million vets applied for disability last year. That's a lot of hearing loss for cooks and tool crib attendants.
@1en+1jtghsq36 It's not hard at all to get hearing loss in the military. I was a medic in the Air Force before joining HW. We did routine hearing tests for everyone that worked in the Hangars or Flight line. Almost every mechanic out on the flight line had some level of hearing loss from the jet engines. Even with hearing protection. Once you lose it, you never get it back, and it adds up over the years. I have no experience with other branches, but I am sure the same applies to those who work around helicopters, heavy artillery, etc.
I wonder how man Vets actually have hearing loss. It's so easy to fake and start the life long grift.
I am a veteran as well. I suffer from severe hearing loss and physical limitations. I was lucky Honeywell hired me and I am very grateful. I am hoping to get Social Security disability for my hearing loss. VA only pays 3600 a month for my injury. I should be able to get another 3000 from social security.
The only veterans that matter are the IAF Veterans. Still Royal through and through.
I am a veteran. I worked for Honeywell for 23 years. I never expected or received preferential treatment just because I was a veteran. It was not an issue. I came to work early and was willing to work overtime. I did my job well and had the respect of my co-workers and managers. I was hired as a Repair Analyst and rose to a position of Group Leader, Data Analyst and Final Inspector/Certified Repairman. All based on my performance and work ethic. When the time came to transition from our antiquated AS400 to SAP, I spent a year working on the transition as well as providing daily data dumps for the Repair & Overhaul Department. I didn't always agree with the way things were being run and I was willing to voice my opinion. However, I did abide by the decisions set by those higher up.

Why are over 3 million Vets on disability? Did I miss WWIII? Frankly, its just too easy a grift

The government should offer clemency. They should say we are going to end your grift on XYZ date unless you can get three independent medical professionals NOT in the VA to agree on your condition. If you choose that method and we find no credible evidence you will be jailed for FRAUD. That would clear 80Billion+ from the yearly budget. If you choose not to pursue additional benefits, we will issue you 100 dollars for a tank of gas and clean clothes to find real work.
I appreciate that veterans are su-king the country dry. Same victim mentality that the Newark air traffic controllers are exploiting.
If they need 45 days to recover from a power outage they are not fit and neither are they disabled.

These VETs on 100% disability.... most are completely healthy and exploiting a weak system of checks and balances. It's probably worse now that 47 laid off everyone.
a simple law that says the us gov cannot make payments without goods or service directly rendered would help. disability and welfare replaced with work programs. only in cases of severe disability would this be waived. welfare and disability are demeaning . hungry people should get food not cash. unemployed people should get jobs not cash. sick people need hospitals and doctors not tax breaks.

@c7+1jtghsq36 How is it possible there are millions on 100% disability? It's easy to get and available after 4 years service combat or not. Grifters are everywhere! I know a couple served 4 years and bot are on 100% disability. They are perfectly fine in there swimming pool, in their front yard playing basketball and roller skating. AND NO WORK RESTRICTIONS! Can even get fast tracked through SSDI (thanks 45/47)
vets are lazy entitled whiners who work 10-20 yrs and then cry/lie because their ears ring and get tax free income for lifexwith no work restriction.
30% of military retirees are on disability in 2023.
10% of military saw combat of some kind during their service.. 90% NEVER entered a combat zone.

I’m just trying to be funny. I thought this whole month. It’s supposed to be called Honeywell’s monthly layoff. I wonder how many vets and disabled beds all layoff. Remember, they would lay off their own mother, dad, or even kids if they could make a buck.
