Does anyone here hate JIRA and scrum or am I the only one?

Jira is okay. I much prefer Pivotal Tracker. It's a simpler tool (when I was using a few years ago anyway), but it didn't have the same potential for micromanaging and administrative tedium. WF would never want to give that up.
JIRA is the gold standard. Nothing wrong with agile. The problem is poor leadership and experience and creating an overly complex "playbook" for how agile happens and then changing things too may times. Still too many silos and too much process to make agile successful.
Which Jira? We are on our 5th board, migrations between of course lost data, the URLs changed, and now we're on a version where the customer portal isn't allowed. People submitting requests can't see the cards because it's a disjointed mess of multiple instances. Agile is a joke, WFs implementation of Jira amd Confluence is a disaster. If you want to coast and move slower, then Agile and Jira is perfect for you.
I like JIRA but like every other tool. Deployment was tied to someone’s bonus. So it “had” to get out. So it was chopped and butchered to the point it’s only using a fraction of its capability.

RCSA laughs at this and will plug every orifice with processes.
I actually think Jira is a good tool. However, like the majority of software here, WF has butchered it to fit their needs so much so that it has become unusable.
Want to change a workflow in Jira because it fits your team better? Sorry can't. WF's determine it must be standard so It's locked down. See a cool plug-in that would really help? Sorry can't have plug-ins.
I can't count how many times I've said to myself, "I wish I could do x in Jira, let me see if I can?" I google. Yep, it can be done. I go back to WF Jira and the button's grayed out or the option doesn't exist.
By definition, you can't be Agile if every team is exactly the same. WF missed the very first line of the Agile Manifesto: Individuals and interactions over processes and tools with their "everyone must use this tool, in this configuration, using this process."
With the addition of time-tracking, WF Jira is destined to become a giant "todo/task" list.
Agile works when used as intended. Wells refuses to commit fully to it and does half agile!
Boss asks you for velocity and throughput on a team that has just formed and not up and running ???? Then of course your numbers are low and then comes the blame to the team managers. Agile teams take time to mature and get a valid velocity and throughput. Oh but never mind working as intended and setting realistic OKRs…let’s just do a re-org and start the teams all over and expect better numbers! What??? 2nd re-org didn’t move things fast enough? Time for another re-org! What a horrible team and team manager!!
Management needs to be forced to take 1000 Dev You classes in a week on how to get accurate data from Jira only after you follow the correct Agile framework.
It’s just tracking so people can point fingers when deadlines aren’t met

If the Jira and Scrum components were used correctly, it would be very efficent and beneficial. Problem is they keep changing how items are suppose to be entered in Jira according to "Agile" which is not correct. They are causing a TON more work trying to implement these incorrectly. Would be nice if qwe went the way of Capital One and removed all the Agile BS from operations.
As far as I can tell IT folks hate everything.
@qne+1nmpPBwL I believe a feature is missing--not able to see all groups that have stories related to a project. ie: WANDA you could read notes from all involved.....
but totally agree--we are NOT working in an Agile environment

The Jira tool is fine. No better, no worse than previous tools. It's the Agile framework that doesn't work for a highly-regulated company with complicated systems and processes. Agile is like throwing sand in the gears.
Micromanaging at its worst. I think it's made for our offshore folks but we all have to "do it".
