We should be doubling down on hybrids.
They're still being built for the police market.
Who cares
"no more Explorer Hybrid"
Where does it say this?
And here we are, #1 on Hybrid sales

@qto+1rqWWLOL Probably a political move, even if it hurts the company. I am guessing that DF acquired influence because BEVs were going to replace ICEs. Now he is trying to double down in BEVs, and rejecting hybrids just to avoid losing that influence (and maybe he thinks he still has a shot at CEO, at least in his mind). Accepting hybrids means Model E loses the prominent place, since hybrids are also ICE. So now the golden goose is still ICE, and if hybrids gains relevancy at Ford, that will be due to ICE as well, minimizing, as it should be, the role of EV in the company, and erasing his chances as CEO.
I have heard from people close to it that DF doesn’t believe in hybrids. I guess this is a consequence of that.
