Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Let's be honest about Chevron, just for once

So many negative posts about Chevron and all for the right reasons. Besides the fake news lets just be honest once and say it the way it is. Is Chevron trull a eFed up company as it looks here? I think it is, but I wanted to hear it from others.

Chevron is my second career... if you think this is bad - go try teaching.

Your a PSG 26 and you hope you get your EOI in October?

Yeah, this is fake. We all know psg 26 decisions are made in October (NOT)

Yeah, i'm going to go back-2-back analogy on this one (shoutout to the alcoholic/drink post). OP literally just asked, on an outlet called "the layoff" - which is clearly a place to state grievances - if it's true that we have grievances .... Do you go to amusement parks too and say, "Damn y'all, is it just me or does everyone seem to be having a good time around here?"

@qun you are such a fake pos... if you actually were a PSG 26, you would know that your EOI is next selection round in the late August timeframe, not October. Nice try, though.

OP don’t let the doorknob hit you in the a*s on the way out the door. I’ll take your PSG 26 job tomorrow.

LPSA = an excuse to not get a lot of work done. Say LPSA a few times a week and people will think you are wonderful

Probably no worse than average. I’ve got 4 friends who left to work for other companies in the Bay Area, and only 1 of them raves about his new company. The other 3 all have similar or new complaints at their company, and have said they’d come back to Chevron for the right job

No workplace is perfect. Chevron is a pretty good place to work. Takes experience to figure out how to overcome the inertia (heavy processes and do-nothing bureaucrats who will tell you want can go wrong) and get things accomplished.
I enjoy work outside the home office (read: overseas locations). Good people, decent pay and great benefits (CIP, company match on 401(k), lump sum pension). all in all— you can put up with some frustration and have a great, long productive work life.

@bnb not fake at all. I currently work in ETC as a PSG 26 and I think this company is the most eFeed place I ever encountered. Can't wait to get my EOI in next October round and be done with this mess. I am strong, confident and skilled enough to find a job even in this dificult market.
But that's just me, my opinion is just one of them and the decision is mine only.

OP, Your question to an anonymous group that mostly b–ches, moans and whines about a company they willingly work for is like asking an alcoholic if this a good time to drink.

Why do I get the feeling your post is fake. Are you just trying to stir up the hornets 🐝 next?

Why would you start a post like this.
