I have a colleague (Aerospace) who has started campaigning to any manager who will listen or in any Q&A: as we separate from Honeywell proper we should get rid of the Jack Welch style "rank and yank" HPD system (which she says GE abandoned already). I'm afraid she's going to get elbowed and PIP'd for talking about it so much! Is there any hope the Honeywell Aero would actually abandon the much loved [sarcasm] 9-Block?

Can confirm other outfits have gone away from JW antics. Everyone gets a bonus and merit increase at current company. In fact, the benefits make Hon look like.... Well makes them disappear. The raises, the HC, the 401k games, the whole set up at Hon is trash compared to other aero companies. But... The rank and file at the Well... Those were some good folks and deserve better than to be used up by Bogus leadership.
Seems being here 4 decades at company Im at and close to retirement that honeywell bought us in 2007 they sure dont care about us long timers even though we exceed their darn goal always a block 5 with less than 3% raise every year. So yep going to slow down now some if they dont want to pay us right.
@rw+1jrxzs5k1 so right on your comment these ones taking raises away from us because you say something to them all is whine whine and then run HR since they cant handle the truth.
9 block is worthless. Block 4 for a colleague(aero) who reads the online paper, plays online games, shops and has a snooze in the afternoon, FACT.
Pretty sure with free education, healthcare for life and $$$ for most they are doing just fine
What needs to be highlighted is the need for veterans rights.
we need to do our part to highlight issues. What they do with that, will amount to leadership success or failure, but not participating at all breaks the feedback loop and leads to a larger disconnect
In the end, why waste your breath. The long term means transferring everything to sweatshops offshore.
Are veterans subject to HPD?
Good luck with that. How would they hire and fire to keep wages low?
And we are coming for the rest of your business. You build cr-ppy little products, that are being designed out by everyone. And ours are winning slots.
If Aero was run like a real business half the people working here would have already been fired for being worthless, unproductive, and unqualified.
That would be like ripping the artificial heart out of a robot!
