I work in Corp systems
We have gone so far backwards in terms of results and leadership across the board.
The programs we work keep extending , throw more money at the problem, work dumb powerpoints when stuff is breaking
Yet wait get the directors for selfie
This group has gone way down
Great for PR but not for people who want to make a difference

There are too many IT managers that have literally nothing to do. Verizon sold their souls to Infosys, please get out of the way and stop acting like you are a critical part of the process.

Thank you! It’s called micro managing to the extreme. Assembly line mentality. They take classes on process improvement but don’t know how to use it. They create more processes and adapted to Six Sigma the ultimate micro management guide to encourage more analysis, reports, and when a job needs to get done they allocate funds to contractors rather then using the workforce they have. Meanwhile these useless directors are basically doing what the VPs are getting paid higher wages and bonuses to do.

I’ve been an employee a long time. I’ve learned how to work there system. They’ve created it. We have useless directors in this company. In IT we are literally paying India to do work that managers here in the US are paid to micro manage. We have about 8 different ERP accounting systems. 3 HR systems.

In operations we have useless area and local managers that are not efficiently using there work forces. You have to much micro managing network techs to plug in a wire, a different group to run the wire, another group tests the wire, 5 other groups doing quality assurance, it’s a joke :)
