Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

The future is looking grim in my department

Everybody is leaving. Even some of our worst employees who barely do any work are finding new jobs. You know things are not going well when those who put in no effort as it is walk away.

Fiserv has been going downhill for years, but now it's reached a point where everybody can see it's not going to be able to sustain itself much longer. The only question now is whether it will go out with a bang or quietly fade away.

The future appears very grim for most parts of the organization. Don’t get me wrong many have it really good, but most don’t. The real and probably enduring problem is that the trust has been broken between senior and executive leadership and the rank and file. It is such a pervasive problem at this point that I don’t think it can be repaired and that….no company can come back from without top down management change and you can forget that.

You do need those shades. But it's because you've been launched at the sun by upper-managements poor decision making lol.

The little-to-no effort employees realize that the work will come their way now that the others have gone and won’t be replaced so they’re getting out. A larger problem is how they’ve been able to skate so long. Managers know they’re week so they give them less to do. Then at review time they give them passing grades because they don’t want to lose a body.

The writing is on the wall. Everyone on the ground is just baffled at the leadership decisions. Middle management is stuck in a no-win position. It's left everyone looking at each other saying "WTF?".
