Exit Interview

If I decline it, am I automatically market as do not rehire? How long am I marked as a do not rehire? 2 years? 10 years? Seems like HR has to purge my records at some point.

@sq You're asking for records forged by the same geniuses running this place? Bold strategy. None of that sh-t is accurate anyway. Save yourself the wait and pick up a fairy tale instead. At least the talking animals will have more credibility... and probably more human rights too.

How to Access Your Records (Michigan Employees)
If you are trying to track down past records from Ford and worked for them in Michigan, you are legally protected by the Bullard-Plawecki Right to Know Act (MCL 423.501).
Under this Michigan state law, if you submit a written request to Ford’s Human Resources or corporate records division, they are required to provide you with an opportunity to review or receive a copy of your official personnel file, assuming it has not passed its standard 7-year post-employment purge date.

@nk

Looks like you missed the point entirely here. They were just asking why you'd care about getting re-hired at Ford? You either do or you don't. But to the question...why would you? If your employee history is clean, nothing to worry about either way. Nothing to do with self respect, but about holding yourself in a higher regard then an employer like Ford could ever. Check that extreme over reaction though. Good for a laugh.

Decline exit interview. It's a trap designed to protect the company against lawsuits and creates a papertrail for lawyers.

Never got my exit interview when I retired a few years ago. I don't think they wanted my opinion.

It sounds to me like Ford is going through a rough time. Their dedication to hiring and retaining unqualified employees with agendas is starting to catch up to them. Well, if there's one thing I know, things usually get worse before they get better. Hold on, this one's going to take a while and it's not pretty.

When I quit, I did not get an exit interview. I tried to contact HR multiple times via IM, phone and Email as I had some questions. They did not return my calls or texts. I made some mistakes that essentially cost me thousands of dollars. I am still mad at them for not talking to me.

@e6 now now, when you act like that you honestly can’t expect civility in return…

What’s an exit interview? Come on, do you really think they give a flying F$&@ what you think. Just get out of there and move on.

@OP

Why on earth would you care about getting hired back I think is the more pressing question here. Move on and don't look back. Don't be too panicked about it. You'll be fine without them whatever they chose to do. Shouldn't be your problem.

Just quit myself, exit interview wasn't even offered, maybe replaced by survey.
