Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Maskless in office

So I am going to be very uncomfortable when people are not wearing masks around me. I will be wearing my mask all the time, but what is that going to do when COVID is in the air with all those masks off, in an office not even open air?!!
I lost both parents to COVID so don’t tell me it is just a cold! Now what?!!
I really don’t know what to do, thinking about all the many times they lifted mask mandates and it did nothing but make things worse!

Do you think they will fire Powel if this RTO doesn’t happen again? I hope so.
The sadistics seem to enjoy the panic and suffering we have to indure every-time they make such an announcement, more than achieving the RTO policy itself, so they keep making the announcements to ki-l the boredom. I recommend YOGA rather than messing with real people lives

'but masked vs unmasked, not sure about the tattoo and badge, cuz it will include a cost and I don’t think they have the budget,'

of course they have the budget! They pp*ssed all that money away sending us home tests, then turned around and said they have a different method they want to use, so nevermind those test kits...............

there are No ideas that wells is not willing to throw money away on, well except raises.........

I don’t mind going back to the office, I miss living a normal life like pre COVID, though I know that life isn’t the same and isn’t going to be the same like before, many things cannot be undone.
But I do mind going back to the office now because it is not the right time and it is not safe.
I hope I can find another job soon that appreciates human well-being more than Management control desire

Just imagine being forced into an office with maybe 40-60 other folks on the same zone while at least 55 of them don’t want to be there to begin with… they are all trying to fake the get together we are better bs, I bet the cameras will have a lot of material for AFHV

I agree with segregation, but masked vs unmasked, not sure about the tatto and badge, coz it will include a cost and I don’t think they have the budget, even though it sounds like a great idea that lines up with Chuckies personality.
Maybe also hire some guards from squid game to roam the corridors and shoot down anyone that attempts to run away

Unless they segregate vaxxed and unvaxxed, there will continuous office fighting and complains.
Tinderbox like you said. They should have a plan from now, how they will mark the vaxxed vs the unvaxxed, who gets the tattoo and who gets the yellow star?
I don’t think it is a smart idea to count on human decency and morals, coz the last time this worked was in…… never
Segregation, guaranteed office space in both sections, tattoos and yellow stars, then we can go back to the office

Good luck proving you got Covid in the office, let alone getting a settlement. Candidly, if you’re that uncomfortable with the risk, request an accommodation or seek employment elaewhere.

I am going to wear my N95 while I look for other jobs. OP, I’m sorry but people like us that still take covid seriously are in the minority now. It’s going to spread like wildfire around these huge hub locations and they just don’t care. Do what you can to keep yourself safe.

So from a legal perspective, how is Wells Fargo going to compensate you, if you contract COVID in the office and end up with a Chronic damage to your lungs or brain or whatever?
What will they do if you contract COVID and do fine but before you even know you are infected, you transmitted the infection to a parent or a partner and watch them dye in-front of your eyes while you can do nothing? If you catch COVID do you get to choose the variant?
How can you live with the guilt?
How can Wells Fargo compensate you for such a loss?
Like You get a visit from the legal team with an envelope filled with cash left on the table?
For what?

Obviously no firms are going to guarantee you won’t get sick in the office. Neither employers nor the dr-g makers will guarantee the vaccines are “safe and effective.”
It’s a pretty sweet deal for big pharma: (1) taxpayer funded R&D, (2) guaranteed sales funded with taxpayer dollars, (3) zero liability for adverse outcomes to taxpayers using the product.
We’re in the wrong business.

I'm not vaxed and I'm not going to be wearing a mask.

We know that vaccines do not stop people from CATCHING COVID, they just protect people from DYING from COVID. Period.
Therefore, if you use logic, a vaxxed person is just as likely to give you COVID as an unvaxxed person. By extension, wearing a mask around unvaxxed people only makes no sense because a vaxxed person is just as likely to give it to you......
If you want to really protect yourself, you should wear a mask around everyone. Period.

How are they going to enforce the “rules” they have about masks? Are we getting color-coded badges based on vax status? This is just a d-mb idea all around.

The whole idea of RTO is just a tinder box waiting to explode. I’ll take my chances and stay away the first two weeks and by then, they’ll be instructing us all to stay home again because they can’t deal with all the chaos.

We’ve all seen the fights and COVID-induced craziness on airplanes, open office buildings are going to be an even bigger cluster!

I don’t recommend asking colleagues their vaccination status. If anyone asks me, I will politely decline to discuss my personal medical information and then immediately report their violation to HR. Have a nice day.

Unless we are officially into an endemic phase, there are FDA fully approved and tested medications for COVID, just like the cold and flu. OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS THAT ANYONE CAN GET! Any talk about taking off the masks or crowding people into office spaces is just d-mb, unwise and unethical.
There is no business need for the RTO, the business is doing better without it.
They don’t really know what they are getting themselves into

Can you guarantee that you will be fine if you are exposed? Unless the answer is a firm yes.. anything else is pointless

Same here. I am vaxxed and boosted, but I won't be going into meeting rooms with anyone un-vaxxed or unmasked. I also plan on posting a sign at my desk stating that if you need to talk and do not have a mask on, to please do it through phone or digital means instead. Safety, prevention, precaution, and my overall health are my prime focus.

Don’t go to the office. Your health and sanity are not worth it!!

Managers are already fed up with the lack of direction and the potential need to fire employees they want to keep, just because of this bu-----t. Stay home, stay safe, and wait it out.

I believe we don’t have to go that far just for the sake of pleasing management ego to enforce some policy.
There will be already enough sh** we will have to deal with in a daily commute, driving or drowning in the filth of public transportation, specially if you are in a city that is famous for homelessness and what comes with it. Then fist fighting every morning in a search for a seat that you can’t really tell who was using it before you and if it was sanitized.
Then dealing with the ugly faces of some folks and management with their fake smiles and gestures, then work you a** off, then back to the commute, home, deal with kids.

Add to that that if you catch COVID that’s another story and if your household has elderly people, vaxxed or not, it is usually a death sentence.
These people don’t really understand what are they getting themselves into and dragging us into some ego battle

I'm the last person in the world advocating RTO. I'm saying that if you are exposed, there's some sanitary measures that may be helpful. I'm the most anti-RTO person in the world, but that's a separate subject. Exposure could happen anywhere, including outside of work.

@fda
Why do I have to do any of that or be in a situation that requires me to do that? For what? Why the rush in bringing everyone back?! This is becoming very stressful and irritating. Basically will end up in an office isolating myself from interacting with anyone, to be safe, how is that serving the lame excuse of we are better together. I’d literally ask everyone around me to f off. How about using common areas, toilets..etc are you going to have someone supervise people on what they do with their butts to make sure the place isn’t going to be contagious? Or we should hold off from our nature calls and basic human needs to please management. It is just unnecessary cycle of nonsense

I'm not wearing mine, it's all a joke anyways. Sorry for your parents but I got covid while vaxxed and made it out fine. It was like a really bad cold for me.

Do some research OP. There's other things you can do to reduce your risk. There's been some studies overseas with both nasal sprays (low concentration iodine or peroxide, typically) and the gargling of mouthwashes as well. When exposed, you often wind up with virus in these passages and it's possible that these sanitation techniques could reduce your risk. I plan on doing both as soon as I exit the premises when I go to the office. If done properly there's no real risk of such techniques, so if it helps it's worth doing to me. YMMV, and, of course, you should consult your healthcare provider etc.

Sounds like we will be pushed into a forced COVID exposure scenario to make executives happy, or maybe Morning fist fight with those around us, what a great and productive way to get together for the better.
Unless they segregate Masked vaxxed, Masked unvaxxed, vaxxed unmaked, unvaxed unmasked, vaxxed masked with prior infection of COVID…etc the list wont end. They love messy situations at WF. Can’t understand why there are some butts so itchy to go sit on a chair inside an office while things actually were going better off without that!
