Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Have Deer Valley layoffs started?

Has anyone received notification that their voluntary layoff request has been approved? Or has anyone received notification that they are being involuntarily laid off yet?

first of all, if you are not in the honeywell buddy system, you dont get the same benefits or in this case, the VRIF as some others do. I volunteered for the one a month ago, asked my manager and senior director why I was denied? They had no issue furloughing me for 2 weeks but i wasnt good enough to be selected for the VRIF. Needless to say i volunteered again this go around. Been checking my email every five minutes with anticipation. Good luck to all those that VRIF and IRIF. brighter pastures lie ahead.

Managers know exactly what's going on. Front line managers, spineless as they are, want plausible deniability since they have to see individual contributors on a daily basis. If they are truly in the dark, then they need to be riff'ed as well.

Will they let exec admins that volunteered be accepted this time around? Last time some were accepted and some were declined. Shouldn't the rules be the same for everyone in the same job classification? It doesn't seem fair that the rules are different for everyone. Can someone explain why? After talking to others that were not accepted they feel discriminated against. It's just not fair, especially when you can save someone else's job that needs it. I just don't get it.

I volunteered, haven't heard anything. I'm worried I won't be selected.
