Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

BOA needs to restructure their whole company because of this pandemic.

BOA must move forward in a new direction in doing business with the current pandemic we are in at this time. They need to realize the old way of employees going to work is over. They must come up with a safe way for our employees. CEO MOnyROnyhaN needs to get his cronies together and come up with a revised business structure . The old way of doing business is over.

It’s all about control. They tell you how, when, where, etc.

Stop being so stupid. They say jump, you say how high.

It was never about what make the most practical, safe sense or using best practices to achieve goals.

The more you complain, the more they will not give you what you want.

Even if we take the pandemic and the RTO timing out of this discussion, the original poster's point is still valid. Many companies around the world are actively adopting a flexible work approach, that includes WFH where applicable and hybrid where applicable. To those posting the dissenting position (not dussenting - you don't even have to know how to spell, spell check catches those things), but I digress. This bank, spent years literally pushing us out the door, telling us that the future of work was remote & mobil (i.e. you can work from wherever you like) as long as the work gets done. Now walk forward to last year. We heard from CB herself "you are getting things done in days and weeks that would have taken months an years", but apparently even though that is true, it is also true that WFH sucks and we are not productive when we work from home. It is the hypocrisy and the duplicity that is the most enraging part of this. And to those not in that we are work at will employees, that is absolutely true. But it is also true that when employees unite, change occurs and we know that is true because we no longer have 12yr olds working in factories in this country. Employees (through employee Unions) made that change happen. And finally to the person asking if this is the bank of china. Clearly you are not paying attention. This is the Bank Of India.

@uip+1d5obmPp you can express freely your whines but not those who have dussenting opinions. What is this, Bank of China?

Then again, y'all who don't want to RTO are just staying home all this time avoiding the public; yeah you havent gone to a grocery store Walmart, li---r store, post office, Starbucks, Olive Garden, Cheesecake Factory, restaurants, birthday parties for your children...--because the virus and the Delta Variant don't exist in those places, only at BoA's offices.

Actually, BoA doesn’t have to do a damn thing but require all employees to get vaccinated. Remember, you’re all employees at will. They owe you nothing.

Whoever posted this has a rational thought. It's not your typical crying or predicting RIFs. BOA has to come up with a plan that meets the demands of the employees. Some, but not all can and should RTO. However, plenty of us are productive and happy working at home.
