This was confirmed by multiple sources. The layoffs will affect AM and AS broadly and deeply. This round will mainly be management. Another rumor around this is a change to business model where lower level people will be given more leeway to make decisions

@6hrd, you are wrong.

Bridget E. Engle is the Chief Operations and Technology Officer for BNY Mellon, and is a member of the company’s Executive Committee.
Debunked
B.E. is the Chief Information Officer, a CIO as well as head of Operations. She is not a CTO, does not come from a technology background and is a manager from the business side, as are all good CIO. She certainly understands how to manage tech and operations.
We have 3 different people, each of whom probably view themselves as the CTO, but we not have a C.T.O.
We haven’t had a Chief Technology Officer since 2002, and we’ve never had a real CFO, let alone an Economist. Not that we need either to maintain a simple custody transaction ledger. Hamilton did it with an abacus and it’s quite likely that it’s still in use to this day.
Don’t have a CTO now.
B E said this?
Good, its long been needed.
Everyone in the industry knows, the BNY technology archictecture is total sh-t.
Who is CTO there now?
