Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Pioneer Merger Ongoings

The moto for the merger has changed from the official “Best of Both” to unofficially “Did XOM buy Pioneer or did Pioneer buy XOM?” and its hilarious.

I’m hearing they’re giving them enough rope to hang themselves. Pioneer will implement their brother-in-law deals and vendors and then XOM Controls/Law will pounce on them in about a year. We’re already taking notes in the field of the blatant stuff. In the meantime we’ll have to mitigate against their inefficiencies.

The ones that think they’re going to get away with it are fools.

Pioneer people will be around for another 2 years. I feel sorry for the LCO people making the jump to Spring…. XOM is going to sc--w them all up.

Hearing that more and more pxd people are quitting, are the wheels falling off this thing or what?

So far the acquisition isn’t paying off. Very dilutive.

Heard from management that the plan is to destaff all BUs except Permian and send those jobs to BTC. I imagine Permian will be the same in a few years. They are already using some BTC people.

@umq+1v3GtIYo 💯 with one fact left out. All Americans to be replaced with the exception of Principles to babysit all the low paid countries! Fact!

Before the merger managers were begging XOM Midland BU employees not to quit. They said we were needed. Now after the merger the XOM employees were ranked down hard to make way for the Pioneer folks. But in 2026 Pioneer will enter the XOM rank system and be pushed out also.

Sorry naysayers. Pioneer has some stroke at certain levels. Haven’t just heard it but seen it. I still preach leave this place. You maybe on top today but when you push 50 you better be worth at sponsor that helped you 15 years earlier. Sounds exhausting .

Yeah, just like how Exxon retained all those XTO personnel.

Dream on, you’ll just be moved around and assessed out over time.

They need dennbury and pioneer people because they don't know what they're doing. Then they will shed everyone in the next 3 years or so to continue the cycles of incompetence and offshoring
