Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Q: what’s the value proposition for XOM employees to work here?

A: they should be excited for the future!

What a joke this company is. They made it clear they’re aware that they don’t appear competitive and attrition is up. Their answer? We’ll be left with the most driven and smart employees!

Let’s see how that works out for you, exxon.

This kind of reminds me of when, at another employer, they honored our group for excellence, and I joked, "say it with a raise!" My manager stared daggers... How dare people have a sense of humor or want to be treated with dignity!

When will we get a better CEO? The longer he is there the more damage to repair.

@uov+1bfKmuuZ Does not come as a surprise. Looks at the lives they have affected. It is not just employees but the contractors that had been with us for years! I do plan to stay longer, one the offer comes, I’m out of here!

I bet no one had the guts to ask what they were smokin and why they wouldn’t share.
HR - human remains... theory 101.
And upper management approved this messaging.
Unreal.

The tone during the Q&A lacked empathy with the highly upset audience and came across as a disregard to our struggles during these difficult times where we ain’t got nothing but pay cuts and additional work. Not classy at all.
