Can anyone give more information as to what levels and areas were told they would be laid off in July? Have they already been informed, but instructed not to relay the information down the chain of command?
I have noticed some middle management in IT taking stretches of PTO at the same time. Perhaps they all received the same information and are interviewing for other positions. This is my hunch, but there have been no announcements or even subtle suggestions by anyone in my team/department.
In some cases even the lower management did not know who was getting RIF'ed. It looks like all IT/IS jobs below a certain pay grade are going away. I'm guessing those few that are left will either leave or be let go by the end of the year.
Some managers were told they would be gone after July 23rd along with many others that are non-management.
The ones (management & drones) that survived this round are teaching Accenture their jobs and will monitor the transition.
The above is fact. Now to speculate:
I believe that after the Accenture groups have everything running good (not great) enough, the ones that survived this round will be going next. I am guessing year end of this year. Cheers!
I was told that the fact I was notified was not a secret. I can share with anyone I wish. Just don't make a big deal out of it.
That being said I'm not aware of any management that was affected but then again I don't have "the list".
When were they notified? Were they instructed to keep it quiet? For example, would they make it known to the rest of the team or would it be a surprise come July?
Everyone apart of the July layoffs have been notified.
