After formal announcement , Nike shares are dipping low which says nobody likes layoff and it is not solution to make company profitable! Lay off is the worst decision by leadership and management and should be avoided at any cost to save brand name! Good luck everyone

SO many brilliant market analysts here. Sounds like some of you will have a great career path once your stuff gets shipped to you.
Nike will be fine. The market doesn't care about you.
You can look at .com and see leadership strategy and know why this company is floundering.
The layoffs have been priced in since the last earnings and have nothing to do with price movements today, or tomorrow or next week.
@kyz - no, don’t think so! Stocks will dip further in next couple of months during layoff and will further dip if employees are treated badly! That’s how market will respond back with layoff in bad economy
Don’t worry, it will go back up once the balance sheet adjusts during earnings. T-Mobile stock saw a dip when the layoff news leaked in August 2023 and now the stock is up 20-ish percent since. I’m glad my termination of employment made many people even more rich.
Shareholders always win, employees always lose.
@uym - everyone wants Share price to do well! But due to incompetent decisions by leadership like layoff , stocks are dipping low further! Nothing can be done much as decision is already taken to layoff! Worst decision ever!
Employees hold a considerable amount of stock. Employee sentiment is certainly pulling it down.
If only we could band together to become activist investors. We could make a CEO and board changes if we unite.
@OP I could be on the list but I am rooting for the stock to do well (despite the incompetent leader JD). Don't we all have skin in the game as shareholders?
