There was a small chance with the right leader and right vision something real and good could emerge at the end. But now with IDM and IFS to to the death the ending is all but certain.

Au contraire, Intel went out of way to promote diversity and female hiring. And promoted them by quotas. Intel ship began sinking when diversity engineering took precedence over real engineering. The only thing that can salvage something is to split, sell some business units and have some of them go for separate IPOs.
All other options are not up to Intel alone: nobody wants to make chips for Intel, nobody wants to use Intel foundry. Intel is forced to be a sitting duck, not because it likes to be.
