There is no safe season. It's an all year event, though no one gets laid off on December 31. They stopped that after they got bad press one year after they off'd a cruse liner worth of people on the last day of the year to avoid bonuses. They got a two for that year. Share holders saw a reduction in salaries and bonus expense in the bottom line.

As,often as Mr Dimon needs a new luxury vacation home, or a new luxury yacht, or fully paid vavation around the world with the bonuses he gets thanks to the "RIF's synergies" That alone saves The company a ton of money!

Money they also use to pay the millions of dollars to settle claims of foreign employees corrupt practices , job discrimination, retaliation, inside trading, or most notably acts & violations for its hiring of the sons and daughters of government officials in China between 2006 and 2013.

As many as they want to. I was there for over a decade and my job was eliminated four times. Finally decided I'd had enough and got something external. Best of luck.
