I love that they’ve rolled out an extended RSU package. It’s brilliant. They can say they’re making TC more competitive when really it will only equate to a pennies here and there.

  • EM bleeds top talent. These are people who they no longer have to grant RSUs to for this year.
  • Others granted RSUs aren’t going to be around for the 3 or 7 years in order for them to vest. Sure, someone may make a few bucks on the dividends paid, but they’ll either be laid off, their job will be outsourced, or they’ll resign before they actually see the benefit of the RSUs. Another no-big-deal to EM. EM is only out the dividends.
  • The value today may be nice, but we all know the stock price will tank and they’ll be worthless by the time they vest if you stay. Look at big tech and the TCs there that are taking a hit in this market.
