Many of the posters on the site worked for chevron for decades and believed deeply in the company. Remember how proud we felt to work for an organisation that we were 100% committed to, with leaders who we felt were inspiring and a future that was exciting and despite our faults we were almost invincible. The transition to lower carbon is an incredible challenge and there are big questions on whether we are able to pivot. The future is uncertain and our leaders are struggling to forge a clear path. Most of us feel the same tension they feel - who are we as an organisation and what do we really stand for.now? Tangible Evidence of Climate change is everywhere and how many of us are able to continue taking the hits of a sinking company to continue expending our life’s efforts to back an organisation that may be part of destroying this beautiful planet that we have all had the privilege to enjoy?

no matter how good the company was, sooner or later its going to turn from good to become terrible. MW just happened to be in the position to make this change…
I was reading until I got to the tangible evidence of climate change. Total, utter, unadulterated nonsense.
@wbt do you mean climate change itself, geologically & scientifically based and supported etc., or the recent more political assertion of man-made CC and the ability to reverse it? Major difference. Just saying.
First of all a “Billy Bob” doesn’t believe in climate change. Second, why would anyone so passionate about climate change want to work for a company in which a very large part of the profits come from evil fossil fuels! Therefore….Billy Bob, you should be excited to see the company sink into obscurity. Go out there and get one of those great Green jobs and move on. I myself will assist in pulling as many barrels of that beautiful crude out of the ground in order to supply a thirsty world with its magnificent energy while making a great living!
