Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

TD Process Leadership checkpoint

It was in 2021 bold claims were made. Qualcomm in HVM by 2024, and unquestioned process leadership by 2025. This implies pdk 1.1 issued mid 2023. Qualcomm walked away, and 1.1 on 18A still not happened. The board and the street still imbibing the koolaid and entrusting TD? How long will this charade continue? Will there ever be talk of accountability on TD leadership?

Board is in the firm grip of DEI (I e. Communist) movement. What can Pat do?

: @wjo PG is not the CEO material the board was expecting either. Talent has left because of the toxic environment at intel. Stop with the DEI hires, nepotism, favoritism, and bad managers and the environment might improve. The reality is that Intel is just a shell of its former capabilities. It has always been a poorly managed and operated company but when there was no real competition it didn't matter. Now that competition is taking market share from every product line Intel has the fact that it is essentially a Rube Goldberg machine is becoming apparent to everyone.

On the bright side most of the grade 10 and above that were around since the 90s will finally start to retire. They are some of the greatest impedance to change and are 100% sure that whatever they do is golden. Losing those people will be the best thing that can happen to Intel. New ideas will be able to flow.

Pat talks a big game but does not have the team he thought he had.

Face it.
Intel is full of mediocrity as the best have left.
There’s no way mediocre engineers are beating the superstars at other places.
