Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Business Transformation “making your job easier”

I keep hearing Business Transformation explained as “not about cost reduction” and even worse - - - “the purpose is to make your job easier”!

Every time I hear that my first reaction is R U effen kidding me?!?

What kind of psychopath does someone have to be to parrot this nonsense?

Do they really think they are so smart and employees so d-mb that this gaslighting will be believed?

When they say it is not about cost reduction you can guarantee that it is all about cost reduction.

Looks like this “Business Transformation - Making Your Job Easier” is another hit from the same corporate author who came up with the best-selling “PIPs are Not Masked Layoffs, They Are For the Benefit of the Employees”.

"Business Transformation" is corporate speak for you are about to get royally f-kked.

I know first-hand having led one of these types of transformations for a former employer, where we reduced headcount and caused a large number of the remaining (overworked) employees to quit........

ExxonMobil is business transforming and making fistful of bucks. That means that you WILL lose jobs and the bosses will get fatter bonuses, that is how capitalism and business works, this isn't USSR. If someone thinks they will get piece of the loot, I think you are either too naive.
Perhaps if Biden imposes windfall tax, that will scare the bosses into giving more money to employees and make capital investment increasing the need for employees and the benefits will accrue to the employees. I don't see the money going into the employee pockets any other way. The answer will and always has been, you should feel lucky to have a job!!
Go WEAM go BTC!!

I think he means, if you don't have a job then your job is going to be way easier because you wouldn't have to do anything 😜.
No job, no stress, no need to come to work, they don't have to pay you so their job is easier, they make more money too.
Anyone thinking maybe Biden and EU should apply a windfall tax?

Making your job easier = 2 billion $$ in cost savings. Someone could title a book "Twisted logic for the corrupted soul"

I'm sure Darren will be sharing at the analyst call that employees are much happier from this change, and that is the REAL opportunity he wants to capture...
