Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

How low ExxonMobil has gone to publicly shame and let go of employeeA. Those who survive, it is important for us to have BCP in place.

Remember that you or I could be next..

As a result of the reduction of money for department areas, we are forced to cut down on our number of personnel. Under this plan, older employees will be asked to go on early retirement, thus permitting the retention of the younger people who represent our future. Therefore, a program to phase out older personnel by the end of the current fiscal year, via retirement, will be placed into effect immediately.

This program will be known as SLAP (Sever Late-Aged Personnel). Employees who are SLAPPED will be given the opportunity to look for jobs outside the company. SLAPPED employees can request a review of their employment records before actual retirement takes place.

This phase of the program is called SCREW (Survey of Capabilities of Retired Early Workers). All employees who have been SLAPPED or SCREWED may file an appeal with the upper management.

This is called SHAFT (Study by Higher Authority Following Termination). Under the terms of the new policy, an employee may be SLAPPED once, SCREWED twice, but may be SHAFTED as many times as the company deems appropriate. If an employee follows the above procedures, he/she will be entitled to get HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel's Early Severance) or CLAP (Combined Lump sum Assistance Payment).

After getting HERPES or CLAP employees will no longer be SLAPPED or SCREWED by the company.

Management wishes to assure the younger employees who remain on board that the company will continue its policy of training employees through our Special High Intensity Training (ST). This company takes pride in the amount of ST our employees receive. We have given our employees more ST than any company in this area. If any employee feels they do not receive enough ST on the job, see your immediate supervisor. YOUR SUPERVISOR IS SPECIALLY TRAINED TO MAKE SURE YOU RECEIVE ALL THE S**T YOU CAN STAND.

Chevron called it a lay-off. They did not publicly mark their employees. And we all know how Exxon’s rankings go.

Chevron layoffs are based on performance rating. Their job lottery system causes alot of higher performers to be laid off if other groups do not know the people. There is no perfect system for picking who to layoff or allocating the salary budget to indviduals who deserve pay raise. Directionally all companies try to do it based on performance, but diversity can sometimes override. Also upper management has influence on who to keep and who to let go. The world is not fair

If you are a free thinker, have ever questioned management or are not the average “office” factory worker kiss a– you were likely PIP’d or will be. Eventually the followers used to get you there will be exposed because they should not have been promoted In the first place and will be cut by next year.

BP and Chevron laid off and it called it a lay-off. They didn’t force rank their employees in an attempt to hide how unattractive the balance sheet is to investors and avoid severance. Don’t be so ignorant.

So is Tesla also low for implementing same program? Chevron/BP is soon to let people go under their same program also.

People who are talking about contributing at a higher level and touting higher vs lower under ExxonMobil ranking scam are the biggest scammers that ExxonMobil has produced. These are the same employees whose full time job is to s— up to upper management, who in turn are also s—ers to begin with. But wait, they will never get this point as this maybe the only company that can tolerate such scums and provide them with high pay for their nasty attributes.

All those who are justifying meritocracy at ExxonMobil know very well that they are not hirable at any other efficient and forward looking company. ExxonMobil please keep these guys employed as society is not ready to take the venom of these wanna be supervisions, supervisors, managers, VPs and Presidents by trampling the hard workers.

Perform better and no need for a thread. Sometimes people need to reflect upon what they could have done to contribute at a higher level.
