If it is true that management will go that’s a great thing they should all they doing is destroying the company because they can’t think or make a decision on their own they are needed

No but it should at least pass muster at the 4th grade level.

@wor: It really takes away from your point when you call out minor technical details regarding the grammar of a comment posted to a clunky online message board.

Coincidentally, your comment contains grammatical errors, as does virtually every other comment posted to this site, including this one.

This is not a post-graduate composition class. Get over yourself.

You’ll have plenty of time for checking people’s spelling when you’re living in a van down by the river.

I agree with @caw. I have seen the internal documents but not 30%. How on earth did you type a 7 sentence comment and only capitalize UP twice? It really takes away from your point when you can’t properly annunciate it.

UP can easily shed 30% of their managers and still be top heavy. Getting rid of people isn't enough. They have to get rid of entire layers of management. There is a lot of managerial redundancy at UP that adds minimal value in relation to the cost. UP has what amounts to the tasks of a single layer of management in most sizable firms diluted and spread out between three (or more) layers of management.

wait a few weeks and see. it is no secret. emails have already been sent out. it's public knowledge. you think UP won't get rid of people because they just hired a class? you must be new. that's typical UP

File this under believe it when I see it. They just made a new crop of bs managers to cover the firemen and foreman general jobs, if any management was to be cut it’s the vps, evps, countless other redundant management positions they’ve made during the good ole boy days. Regional managers positions could be combined especially since they’ve shut down shops and yards.
