I was right! Darren Woods and friends has the incentive to bleed us dry.. I had enough of his bs.. will set myself up for PIL next year! While there is time to plan for a seamless transition..

@wuk+17ECxMmY this is a business but these are people too with families. Yes we need to reduce size but do it with dignity, honesty, and respect. You sound like a ravenous wild wolf worried about your almighty bank account. Layoffs should give people reasonable time to start looking for work. It's the ethical thing to do.

@wuk+17ECxMmY I’m sure Darren Woods will brag that he “lay-off” at least double that amount (20K employees) at a fraction of competitors’ severance cost!

Keep the dividend at 0.87 . The only thing less is fewer people and fewer costs.. I just read BP 3Q earnings. BP is bragging about 10000 fewer people and cutting the number of senior executives in half from 240 to 120. Also BP is on track for 4 billion in cost savings. XOM needs to do the same. Given XOM larger size than BP, EM should be able to achieve 4 to 5 billion of cost savings , 15000 headcount reduction, and cutting senior executives by 200. Every 5000 people is about 1G in costs. Hurry up.
