Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Forget the recalls, quality related lawsuits continue to pile up

https://fordauthority.com/2022/10/new-ford-water-pump-class-action-lawsuit-filed-in-new-york/

Faulty transmissions. Faulty engines. Weak roofs. Now failing water pumps.

Recalls are expensive, but wait until these settlements/judgments start getting paid out.

If you're still a F stock holder, you better bail now. If you're an employee, you better bail now.

This company's stock symbol is so appropriate because this company is F'd.

Recalls are NOT bad? Really? I want to buy a car that is built right in the first place, not one that has "issues", especially if they are multiple issues. Recalls means you can't design cars without mistakes, apparently LOTS of mistakes.

New slogan: At Ford, quality is job NONE.

I can’t wait to see the broken out revenue numbers! In fact, I would wager that it won’t happen. Mobility was losing over a billion dollars per year, and it takes a lot of data and subscription sales to overcome that expense. If they break out the three divisions, NOTHING will come anywhere near the earnings from the F150.

Recalls are all bad! I don’t want to need to take my brand new vehicle in for any sort of repair beyond routine maintenance. They are costly to the company and to the vehicle owners.

Recalls are not a bad thing. As the OP stated. They just mean that Ford is fixing the issues with the vehicles, which means less issues to fix later on.
