I’m new here. I notice they have thousands of people in Charlotte who don’t have any skills other than setting up meetings and asking others to make a decision for them. They seem to hire dozens of other worthless headcount based there and make meetings to no where and invite dozens of people who shouldn’t be invited. I’ve raised this to other because being outsider I’m shocked these people are allowed to be on the payroll and they laugh and say they’re ex Wachovia, like that’s an excuse for being worthless. Don’t you have to have an actual skill other than talking, creating ppt decks to be employed, like a technical skill or a real knowledge base? They could fire most everyone in that city with no impact to the operation.

I'm in the charlotte area, and there are tons of people in Charlotte, California, Arizona, and countless other places that are just done. It' s not a location problem, it's a moral problem because of leadership's weathervane management and the constant re-orgs. You can't make major changes year after year for 3 years ongoing.... people get tired of it. There's deadwood that needs to be shed in almost every city...Charlotte may appear to have a large number, but it's only because it has a large number of employees relative to other cities. This rotating door of executives are ki----g moral, and the company.
CLT is one big clique. Take the "bless your heart" cr*p, and sh0ve it! Southern mentality is full of passive aggressiveness, ign0rance and r@cism.
BofA in town is no different, been at both. Uptown is a cluster of grifters whose energies are spent disproportionately on showing and proving we add value... Instead of actually adding any value.
It feels like Charlotte is maybe just a house of cards, waiting to fall when investors and shareholders realize it's a big hubbub of headcount and expense.
I hate living in Charlotte.

San Francisco is just as bad if not worse. There are scores of people here who do nothing but attend pointless meetings and forward emails.
The Wachovia merger was the downfall of WF. I liked WF before the merger. Morale has gone down since, we read about scandals every month, We’ve gone through almost countless CEOs. When was the last time leadership recognized employees based on merit alone?

I disagree. I think there are a lot of great people in Charlotte. Two bosses I have had, are based in Charlotte. My 3UP is in Charlotte, and he's great too, as are some of my co-workers. It probably just depends on your department. Meetings for the sake of meetings can occur in any location.
CLT is an embarrassment. Most CLT employees are shallow and passive aggressive. I'll gladly work with those in any other region besides CLT. Such tr@sh.
Wachovia had 20K employees in CLT pre-merger (14 years ago). WF has 27K now. Math totally checks out. Def all ex Wachovia.
On a serious note, we have more Bank of America rejects than Wachovia people left in CLT. Both groups are problems.
