Tell your story. One, two or more team members have left your work group and you are left working like a dog to keep up. Yes, the work may have been divvied amongst your group, but you have experienced that Great Dump of work on your plate.

3 folks I know, all 20+ years, all put in notice when the bonuses came through. Expect more to come.
With all the Indian import and the jobs they exported to India, you would think we were hitting diversity targets a long time ago.
Of course skin color matters, their own merits are not even considered… duh,welcome to wokeness where aptitude is only marginally useful.
After working round the clock in 2020, my group was deliberately understaffed for 6 months because the applicant pool failed to meet the diversity quota. Senior management basically told us to pound sand when an exception was requested. People respond to incentives. They cared more about hitting their DEI targets for bonus than burning out hard-working staff that actually generate value for the firm.
We have had multiple people leave, and are only given useless contractors since we aren’t allowed to fill their role.
It’s a sh!t show.

As a worker bee I have had work "dumped" on me my entire work life. No "Great" dump, but a continual dump. But no management headaches to worry about so I'll survive just fine.
Of course, but we have had to put up with both layoffs and those who just quit. I am doing additional work every single day.

True, I haven’t worked for a “manager” who could do my job for 25 years. Worse, I haven’t worked for a manager who understands my job for 15 years. Worst of all, it’s been 10 years since I had a manager who even understood what I do day to day.
It is this way in all of the big banks. Managers are automatons performing HR and administrative functions and dutifully propagating trivial information down the chain to their subordinates.
Went through that a couple years ago and after doing it over a year transferred. Place went to hades in a hand basket after some layoffs in addition to the attrition. Management now has no clue how things actually work - or cares.
Mine is a "Temporary" situation according to my manager. But it has been 2 mos. now with the extra work and my manager promises that it is still "Temporary" No story to tell but I know others are in much worse predicaments.
I had chipotle last night, double meat with spicy salsa and the corn. Wouldn’t you know that i woke up around 3 AM with a massive gut ache. Went to the bathroom and oh boy was it magnificent! Probably the Greatest Dump i’ve ever had. Instantly gut ache went away and I fell promptly back to sleep like a baby.
The only members who left my group wee the ones laid off almost a year ago, and they were the underperformers who weren't working anyway. Not much has changed.
