Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

When good press is actually terrible news, so stupid is Intel!

Talk big:

But in reality
“There is an announcement from Intel that they just moved an EUV tool from Oregon to Ireland to be the first EUV tool in Fab 34. This is highly unusual and another sign that they can’t get the EUV tools they need as discussed in my article. This is likely a 3400B tool, two generations old, not the latest 3600D tool that is focused on 3nm production.”

@xzi+1gajLkgY Pretty devious and borderline crooked for Pat to talk about American security and begging for tax payer handouts and at the same time had a profit of 20 billion and than trying to get even more tax credits with this dodgy transfer of RD tool to an overseas production fab

Simply the wrong way ethically and from a man of faith, his only faith is fanatically selfish.

This happened a few months ago, and from my understanding a contributing factor they did it this way is because taxes are different when a company is transferring production machines to the EU vs buying them new, in addition to them having difficulty purchasing the tools outright. I'm sure the money they saved dodging taxes will be used to hire at least fifty spouses of middle managers.
