Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Delay Jan 10 RTO?

I can’t imagine they’d do that now. Don’t you think they’d look like id--ts?

Most employees at WF are in the covid danger zone. Obese, older, etc. It is why our insurance is so high, we have a very unhealthy workforce.

Here we go once more. This country has done such a poor job in teaching people basic math, that it is mind boggling. 1 percentage of 100000 and 15% of that.
Mmmm.

Try to multiply all those and you will get a small number of people who could die from J and J and that too, potentially. Now since you were not taught multiplication by your school, how about trying to add 10 + 5. ?

There's tons of them...but a significant % fit in the "jabbed or natural immunity" subset of the population. In any event, being obese has always been extremely risky. More people died of heart disease last year than 'with COVID", so everyone would be wise to take good care of their heart whether COVID is a thing or not.

Wait, there are no obese people who work at WFB? Dang, my eyes are going again.

Oh, we have an educated poster! This is great. Please tell us hapless pleebs how "all of us will pass away" considering:

  1. About 60% of the population has already had COVID and has natural immunity
  1. About 60% of the population has been fully vaccinated
  1. Over 200M Americans are sufficiently young that their odds of dying even if they are infected are something along the lines of 0.001%.

Just to make sure we have a good understanding of what you're trying to tell us, define the word "all".

I don't know where you went to school, but you might want to try another one.

The people who work at Wells are not the elderly or the obese. We are all going to be just fine in the long run. Take the vax when you can, exercise, wash up, use a mask when appropriate. And greet your neighbor when back in the office. Be cheerful. Plenty of other places on the planet I'd rather not live than here. We make mountains out of mohills. Peace to all.

Imagine thinking that zero risk to any single employee is an attainable standard... No corporation acts without zero risk to employees.

"it is about all of us passing away due to you spreading the disease. It will be a tragedy if you survive and we don’t. Ubnderstood?"

If you're fully vaccinated with your booster you shouldn't have to worry about passing away, right? The current administration made sure we knew this was a pandemic of the unvaccinated way back in the summer.

Also, sorry to all those who got the J and J vaccine, being assured it was safe, and then died from it.

Also, sorry to all those who got the j and j vaccine after being told it was safe an effective, then dying from it. From this NBC news article : www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna8987

"The FDA also said the highest reporting rate of the blood clot issue — about 1 case per 100,000 doses administered — has been in women ages 30 to 49. About 15 percent of the cases have been fatal."

@zbz "the Flu" is the common term for a family of over 100 different strains of the Influenza virus.

You're comparing an entire family of virus to a single strain to try and claim it's not dangerous. By making that comparison, you're pointing out just how dangerous it is.

@ybx+1emwuXnU The virus will always be here, like others. It is how Wells reacts to it is the matter at hand.

No, you are so wrong with your logic , I may have to suggest you go back to school.

It is not about one person dying (you). It is about all of us passing away due to you spreading the disease. It will be a tragedy if you survive and we don’t. Ubnderstood?

If even one employee being at risk is the standard, no business could ever operate at all. The drive to work and the flu ki-l people, pretty routinely actually. RTO is a bad plan IMO, but then again so is a "zero risk to operate" plan, because there never has been, and never will be, zero risk.

WF, like many RTO companies, are wasting their time assessing data and hiring doctors and health 'experts'. We are a bank, not a health company. Not all employees are young, healthy, and low risk with this virus. Use common sense. It is dangerous to put ANY employee's health at risk for the sake of an office 'strategy'. In my opinion, RTO should be put aside until the pandemic has disappeared and we should focus on all the major problems facing our financial company.

I won’t be there on Jan 10th. I’m already starting to feel a little ill (probably from the thought of returning to that god-awful place). I surely wouldn’t want to risk getting my friends and co-workers sick from all of the collaboration we’ll surely be doing around the company water-cooler. Guess I better stay home and quarantine for awhile until my symptoms go away.

They don't call it omiCOLD for nothing. The regular flu is much worse. It won't be pushed back. We will be in the office on the 10th.

I can’t imagine they wouldn’t push it back. Have you been living under a rock this past week? The NFL, NBA, NCAA are cancelling games. Google, APPLE, FB, ford, Nike, fidelity, bny, the list goes on and on have recently announced they are delaying RTO. I would be shocked if Wells doesn’t follow suit. To bring people back right as Covid cases are surging around the holidays would be unconscionable even by WF standards.
